Fifty Shades of Grey is one of the biggest franchises in cinema at the moment. Twilight has taken a back seat to the absolute lust we have for deep intimacy and the slight perversion that comes through in the series.

Silverstar casino hosted an exclusive premier of the movie and though there were mixed feelings, this one was definitely better than the first two. The storyline was more developed and it touched on issues we actually go through in our relationships. Combining the fantasy, sexuality and the complexity of a relationship, you can connect with the movie a lot more because you’ve been through the drama with friends who think you spend too much time with your partner or those moments where you have to make a tough decision in the relationship.

These is a fine line between the movies and the books, as the ‘literature’ depicted a full erotic and pornographic experience to the reader who was glued to each sultry page of the trilogy, however, it was different for the producers of the films. Jamie Dornan explains why there’s no full frontal nudity in the films saying, “We don’t need to be flashing the rest if it’s not essential to the story. We are not making porn, as much as people think we are.” That is a choice everyone can make for themselves.

Fifty Shades of Grey will get the blood pumping this Valentines week. Inspire your partner or give them ideas by booking your tickets now. The movie is available at all Sterkinekor cinemas nation wide.
