A Date night is the perfect recipe for an overdue catch-up, an ‘I’m sorry’ or just for some quality time together. Nothing beats the warm atmosphere and the culinary creations from Chef Sylvester Nair’s kitchen at the Maximillien Restaurant at the Davinic hotel.
The new menu has set the Caesars salad aside and brought in Crispy Calamari served with Zucchini fritter or you can enjoy the Mezze platter served with freshly baked flat bread, taramasalata, tzatziki and pimento – which is deffinatly a favourite to refresh the pallet. You are warned though, the portions are generous! Not to mention the bottle of 2017 Durbanville Hills Merlot, perfect for a winters evening.
For mains, you can choose Grilled line fish with a Cajun spiced queen prawn served with baby potatoes and flame grilled vegetables. Or you can delight in the highly anticipated authentic Butter Chicken curry! And what a treat! It’s served with handmade naan, Indian pickles and is topped with coriander. Definitely a highlight on the evening.
If you’d rather prefer red meat, the 220g Sirloin steak served with sweet-potato fries and flame grilled veggies would be your preffered choice.
After some great conversation, dim lighting and warm ambiance you’re wine will be running low, but to stimulate your sweet tooth there is a decadent chateaux platter to share. The platter has three different cakes as well as a scoop of ice-cream to end of the evening. For only R595 this date night is a steal! Enjoy!
