Simon is a compelling production that pays homage to Simon Tseko Nkoli who was an anti-apartheid, HIV activist and founder of the LGBTI community in South Africa. This production is centered around the complexities Simon undergoes when he comes out to his family, the stigmas that get attached to him in the community and the crimes he is falsely procecuted for, for being a black gay man. This narrative takes you on a sad journey of how far the LGBTI community has come in the South African context.
