On 20 December 2020, Knuckle City won Best Visual Effects and Best Production Design at The Africa Movie Academy Awards. It was the most nominated film, up for 12 awards, including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Supporting Actress. Knuckle City was the most awarded film at this year’s SAFTAs. It took home six awards, including Best Director and Best Actor for Mantsai.
