My favourite cooking show is back.  Can I hear a whoop whoop!  Get ready for the best mid-week treat as local reality show,  Come Dine With Me South Africa hits our screens.

As always it is packed with drama, theatrics, spice, hilarity and the savage narration of Mr Dave Lamb.  With a R10 000 cash prize up for grabs, the entertaining contestants pull out the knives (and forks).

Tune in every Wednesday at 20:00 on BBC Lifestyle (channel 174) on DStv.

Here’s a sneak peek at what is in store this series:

#ComeDineSA Episode 1 – Wednesday 5 May

THE GLOVES ARE OFF in Jozi in the first week of an all new Come Dine With Me South Africa.  It is a battle in the kitchen between ultra-competitive Amanda, care-free Clarissa, soccer-crazy Leeshan and Cabin Attendant Andy.  Who will take the top spot?

IT’S A BATTLE OF THE AGES in the second episode.  Retiree Hilton goes head to head with Nick, Tonny and Tebogo.  A mixed pot of personalities with a burlesque affair promises for an eventful week.  Question is, who will win the R10k cash prize?

#ComeDineSA EPISODE 3 –  Wednesday 19 May

HAIR WE GO AGAIN! It’s the turn of Italian/ American/ South African, Debra, to bring her guests the flavours of Italy and beyond. Mmabatho a self-confessed germaphobe, witnesses fellow diner and choreographer Bailey find a hair in his food and surgeon Dr Phil who pulls out all the stops creating meals from scratch.

#ComeDineSA EPISODE 5 – Wednesday 2nd June

EAST VS NORTH in week five as Fourways boet, Nkululeko, go up against three East-Randers – Security Manager, Big Andy, aspiring food blogger, Maharaj and party girl Stacey. One thing is for sure, no one holds back this week.

#ComeDineSA EPISODE 6 – Wednesday 9th June

IT’S LADIES WEEK! And the final week of BBC Lifestyle’s Come Dine With Me South Africa where Andrew struggles to get a word in edgeways with accounting teacher Nicole, aspiring actress and presenter Makoto and final host Mrs. Krugersdorp, Dominique.   Who will dominate?
