If you’re into wellness, health and fitness then you’ve surely heard of Hyperice, a global high-performance wellness brand, known for their cutting-edge technology when it comes to recovery and performance products.

Well, they’ve taken things a step further, by introducing a new community-driven initiative aligned with Hyperice’s mission to help everyone on Earth move and live better through improved movement – called, The Go Collective.

Through creative storytelling and ongoing content series’ The Go Collective inspires and welcomes new global Team Hyperice members to ‘join the movement built around movement.’ The benefits of such initiative? People can sign up to the Go Collective to unlock exclusive content, special offers and much more.

The Go Collective was designed to amplify the ethos of the Hypervolt Go line. The Hypervolt Go 2 completes the company’s range of powerful percussion devices including the Hypervolt 2 and Hypervolt 2 Pro, all of which help everyday users and pro athletes alike massage away stress and muscle tension from the palm of their hand.

“Our mission from the beginning, was to put a percussion device in as many hands as possible. To do that, we need to continue to design products that are accessible to the widest possible audience of users. We also know, with the world opening back up, people are constantly on the move, and space can oftentimes be limited, so the smaller you can make the device, the more places you can take it, the more you can use it. Hypervolt Go 2 represents the next step towards achieving that goal,” said Anthony Katz, Founder and President of Hyperice.

We caught up with Hyperice Business Developer, Deon van Wyk, who tell us more about the Hypervolt Go 2 and Go Collective – this is what he had to say…

Tell us about the Hypervolt Go 2 – designed as a wellness essential for all?
The Hypervolt Go 2 is Hyperice’s latest product release that completes the company’s range of powerful percussion devices which also includes the powerful and effective Hypervolt 2 and Hypervolt 2 Pro. All these devices help everyday users, and pro athletes alike, massage away stress and muscle tension straight from the palm of their hand. The Hypervolt Go 2 was designed for the ‘everyday kind of individual’ who considers wellness and health a part of their daily regime. Our mission from the beginning, was to put a percussion device in as many hands as possible. To do that, we need to continue to design products that are accessible to the widest possible audience of users. We also know, with the world opening back up, people are constantly on the move, and space can oftentimes be limited, so the smaller you can make the device, the more places you can take it, the more you can use it. Hypervolt Go 2 represents the next step towards achieving that goal.

With the ethos of getting people to “move and live better through improved movement” – how does the Hypervolt Go 2 encourage this?
The Hypervolt Go 2 was designed with affordability, accessibility, effectiveness and uniqueness in mind. It may not be the strongest of devices in terms of percussion (compared to the Pro 2) but it sufficiently powerful for the daily consumer who takes health and wellness seriously. The product itself has been designed for better recovery and conditioning, which is at the forefront of Hyperice’s mission, and the Go 2 does exactly that.

What makes the Hypervolt Go 2 unique and different to all the other Hypervolt devices?
The Hypervolt Go 2 is built to increase people’s range of motion with just a five-minute treatment each day. The new Hypervolt Go 2 has a sophisticated design that features minimalistic looks with an arctic-grey finish and feels great in your hand and on your body. It is built to last, with high-quality materials and intuitive ergonomics.

Tell us more about the Go Collective initiative – why is this unique in its development and an attractive feature for Hyperice?
To amplify the ethos of the Hypervolt Go line, Hyperice has assembled a diverse collection of individuals and created “The Go Collective” which is a community-driven initiative aligned with Hyperice’s mission to help everyone on Earth move and live better through improved movement – which ties in to the ethos of the brand as a whole. Through creative storytelling and ongoing content series’ The Go Collective inspires and welcomes new global Team Hyperice members to join the movement built around movement. People can sign up to the Go Collective to unlock exclusive content, special offers and more – again, getting people to do what they love, more, whilst reaping the benefits of being a part of something greater, a larger community and family.

The Go Collective initiative boasts a number of big names in the industry, all working together to get people moving. Why is it important for them to each cater to different target audiences?
We wanted to ensure we catered to everyone, from crossfit, to the arts. At Hyperice, we recognise that health and wellness comes in many different shapes and forms and we recognised that acknowledge that our products are not only for pro athletes but for any individual who wants to live a better life, recover quicker, perform better and love what they do, more. It was important for us to select individuals who spoke our language, which is why we selected the following Inaugural Hyperice Go Collective team members.

What was the thought process when selecting the various candidate of the Go Collective?
These individuals were selected within #TeamHyperice who represent different industries and backgrounds and are pushing the boundaries of what it means to ‘go get it.’ They are all making moves within their respective industries, and Hyperice proudly supports the adventurous, the brave, the hardworking and the talented all of which make up the Hyperice family.

What makes your products at Hyperice unique – how do you define yourself apart from your competitors?
Hyperice is a technology-driven company with a giant mission, and we ensure we tick all the boxes when it comes to recovery methods and wellness. Our products are thoroughly tested, tried and proven to be of high standards. For more than a decade, Hyperice has led a global movement at the confluence of recovery and wellness, specialising in percussion (Hypervolt line), dynamic air compression (Normatec line), vibration (Vyper and Hypersphere lines), thermal technology (Venom line), mind technology (Core by Hyperice) and contrast therapy (Hyperice X).

What are some of the surprising things that people do not know about Hyperice?
We are made for all individuals no matter the space, industry or fitness level. Recognised as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies, Hyperice has applied its technology and know-how to industries including fitness, hospitality, healthcare, massage, physical therapy, sports performance and workplace wellness on a global scale.

How do you hope to implement the Go Collective in South Africa?
We are currently identifying key players within the South African market of whom we are aligning with and hoping to build long-term relations with. South Africa boasts a incredibly big array of individuals who have excelled in the sporting and wellness scene so we hope to create a Hyperice brand image amongst such names and hopefully build our own Go Collective group in the future.

What are your future plans and aspirations for Hyperice as a whole, in line with the Go Collective?

Hyperice is designed for all – from the most elite athletes, leagues and teams to consumers everywhere looking to unlock the best version of themselves to help them do what they love, more, so we hope to continue to spread the message and get more people using the Hyperice products and assist them in recovering quicker, and properly, through the use of quality products.
