New Survey Reveals SA’s Naughty Antics

Following what feels like non-stop power outages, it turns out that South African adults finally have something to thank Eskom for, after The Sex Expo reveals its 2022 survey findings which shows that sexual activity in South Africa increases as loadshedding kicks in.

The sex survey, done anonymously on the expo’s social media page in the lead-up to this week’s Sex Expo at Time Square in Menlyn Maine, has revealed that there are at least some benefits to the power cuts, as 65% of adults over 30-years-old in long-term relationships confirmed that loadshedding has a positive impact on their sexual activity with their partner.

The Sex Expo organisers are delighted with the finding saying “We’re happy that turning off the lights has generated so much personal loadshedding and energy expenditure to lighten the strain on the national grid. We implore all South Africans to practice safe sex and take care not to knock over the candles!”

The expo reached out to Eskom for comment without reply, but we would hope that they would embrace the findings.

As well as what can be seen as positive results, other interesting answers from the survey revealed that;
– 54% of people responded to say that the pandemic lockdown increased the amount of online sexual content they viewed.
– 60% of respondents said that their sexual activity decreased after the pandemic lockdown ended.
– 91% of people surveyed said that easy access to sexual content increased sexual activity with their partner.
– 66% of respondents admitted that they think more about sex since owning a smartphone.

As tickets sales continue to hit record numbers following a successful yet notorious campaign, it’s evident that Pretoria and Jozi residents have shaken off stereotypes to lighten up and embrace the national mood of safe sex education and entertainment at a time when the country truly needs it the most, and emerges from the darkness.

The Sex Expo takes place at Time Square, Menlyn Maine, 13-16 October 2022. Discounted tickets available online now, and tickets also available at the door from Thursday to Sunday. The Sex Expo is open daily from 11am till 11pm.
