Known for their fashion influence and curation of edgy streetwear over the past 5 years, leading fashion brand Grade Africa today officially launched their latest initiative GradeTown – Joburg’s Ultimate youth day celebration burgeoning the spirit of young people in Mzansi.

Created to celebrate the essence of the youth of South Africa and the culture as a whole, experiential lifestyle extravaganza GradeTown was born. The celebration is set to  create opportunities for young people to showcase their talents and skills, while connecting with peers from different backgrounds and cultures.

Taking place on Friday, June 16th at Waterfall City Park at the Mall of Africa in Johannesburg, this first-of-a-kind event will feature a range of activities, including the hottest live music performances, interactive thought provoking talks, sports/e sports tournaments and more!

With music being a huge part of the culture, the lineup boasts a selection of some of the dopest young talent in the country right now including multiple award winning artists Focalistic, Emtee and A-Reece. Also headlining is amapiano goddess Kamo Mphela alongside DJ’s Kaymo, Savage, LeloWhatsGood, Deniece Marx, Stopper, Rarri and Don Delicious.

GradeTown will also host a kick ass Comedy Show, local Talent Show and various Merchandise Stations. A variety of food and beverage stalls will also be available within the space.

“GradeTown offers a curated safe space for young people to express themselves, to learn from one another, and to celebrate their strength and diversity,” said Grade Africa frontman Zaid Osman and stated “A key focus of this event is the celebration and acknowledgment of young creatives, that are so often overlooked. GradeTown promises to be an unforgettable event that showcases the resilience, creativity, and power of the SA youth.

The inaugural GradeTown is powered by partner Toyota Vitz.

Limited tickets are available for R150 on the Grade Africa website, Webtickets and Pick n Pay.
