Cotton Fest, the popular music and youth culture festival, is set to make its debut in Durban this year. The festival, which started in Joburg in 2019 by the late global music and fashion icon Riky Rick, has grown to become one of the most anticipated events on the South African entertainment calendar.

Landing on the shores of KZN for the first time on Sunday, 2nd July 2023 at Kings Park Stadium – Outer Field in Durban, this youth culture experience has become known for its diverse lineup and energetic atmosphere, with previous editions featuring performances from the hottest talent in all the land.

Cotton Fest is also a celebration of South African street culture, with not just good music, but also showcases fashion, popular sport, art, food, and so much more.

Performing across two stages, the lineup featuring some of the hottest SA talent is being kept under wraps for now, with the team promising that fans won’t be disappointed as with the Joburg and Cape Town editions.

“Durban has always been a city that openly embraces and supports music and youth culture. And we are thrilled to finally bring Cotton Fest home finally. Taking Cotton Fest to Durban, Riky’s birthplace, which was always part of his plan, is particularly special to the whole team.” said festival co-founder Bianca Naidoo and adds, “And as always, we plan to bring together some of the biggest names from across country to not only create an unforgettable experience for the Durban family but also celebrate how precious life is.”

THE MUSIC: The COTTON STAGE will feature headline artists, while the second STAGE will feature the New Wave of young talent.

THE TUCKSHOP: The merchandise area will not only offer Cotton Fest classics but will also feature collabs from proudly South African brands and local creative collaborators, offering unique pieces, limited branded fashion items and much sought after accessories.

SPORTS AREA: A skating ramp and obscure games arena for all sport enthusiasts.

CAFETERIA: A huge variety of delicious options on offer at the food court, with fully stocked bars positioned around the festival.

SECURITY: Both uniformed and undercover security will be present at the festival as an active deterrent for possible criminal activity, and further offer a vigilant and fast alert response in the event of any incidents.

AND MORE: Various photo opportunities, activation spaces, charging stations and cool bespoke experiences to be used for content creation. Also chill areas set up for festival goers to relax, recharge and reboot

Durban are you ready!!! We never die. We multiply…
