Deuce Experience Brings Wimbledon Magic to Hyde Park Corner This Championship Weekend

South African tennis fans won't need a ticket to London to experience the excitement of Wimbledon this July. For the first time, the Deuce Experience arrives at Hyde Park Corner, transforming the iconic shopping destination into a premium Championship Weekend celebration where world-class tennis meets refined hospitality, elegant style and unforgettable social moments.

As Wimbledon reaches its thrilling conclusion, The English Greens Championship Weekend promises to deliver an elevated viewing experience designed for tennis lovers who appreciate the atmosphere as much as the action.

Instead of watching the finals from the comfort of home, guests can immerse themselves in a sophisticated setting inspired by the prestige and tradition of the world’s oldest tennis tournament.

Bringing the Spirit of Wimbledon to Johannesburg

Hosted at Hyde Park Corner for the very first time, the Deuce Experience has been carefully curated to recreate the elegance associated with Wimbledon while adding a uniquely South African touch.

Guests are encouraged to embrace the winter elegant dress code as they gather with fellow tennis enthusiasts, professionals and tastemakers to celebrate one of the biggest weekends on the international sporting calendar.

“Hyde Park Corner is the natural choice for hosting the Wimbledon final. It brings together the atmosphere of the Championships with the comfort and hospitality our guests expect, so watching the match here feels like a match made in heaven,” said Sheree McHaffie, Marketing Spokesperson for Hyde Park Corner.

More Than a Tennis Viewing

The Deuce Experience has been designed as an all-day lifestyle event where premium entertainment extends well beyond the action unfolding on the big screen.

Guests can enjoy a carefully curated gourmet menu while indulging in a traditional English High Tea by Chai Society, complete with strawberries and cream—a timeless Wimbledon favourite.

The experience also includes:

  • A complimentary welcome drink to begin the celebrations
  • A Deuce opening toast
  • Complimentary wine and cocktails until 19:00
  • Non-alcoholic beverages available throughout the event
  • Champagne and premium spirits available for purchase
  • Live entertainment throughout the afternoon
  • Networking opportunities with fellow tennis fans

Rather than simply broadcasting the finals, the event creates a space where conversation, hospitality and shared passion for the sport become part of the experience.

Building Premium Sporting Experiences

According to Connie Motsumi, Founder of Deuce Experience, the event represents far more than simply watching a tennis match.

“Deuce Experience was founded on the belief that exceptional sporting moments deserve exceptional experiences. By partnering with Hyde Park Corner, we are changing how South Africans engage with iconic global events, turning spectators into communities and broadcasts into unforgettable occasions. This partnership is about celebrating excellence, creating connection and building a legacy of premium experiences that extend far beyond the final match point.”

The concept aims to redefine how South Africans experience international sporting events by combining luxury hospitality, community and world-class entertainment in one destination.

Everything Guests Need to Know

Tickets are priced at R4,500 per person.

The event is strictly cashless, with tap or swipe payments accepted throughout the venue.

Hyde Park Corner offers wheelchair accessibility and convenient on-site parking, although organisers recommend using e-hailing services for added convenience.

The experience is open exclusively to guests aged 18 years and older, with right of admission reserved.

For tennis fans looking to celebrate Wimbledon in style, the Deuce Experience promises a memorable Championship Weekend where elegant hospitality meets one of the sport’s greatest traditions.
