Effortlessly Freeze Moments with the HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra Speed Snapshot

The HUAWEI Pura series continues to surprise with a captivating design, unique style and, above all, a revolutionary imaging system. The introduction of the Ultra Speed Snapshot has garnered positive attention from photography enthusiasts as the feature enables high-speed photography – something that previously required professional-grade gear. Capturing fast-moving objects has been the Achilles heel of smartphone cameras until now. With the Pura 70 Series finally making it possible and opening up a world of new creative opportunities for users.

Ultra Lighting Photography System: Large Sensor and Aperture for Better Photography

High-speed snapshot photography is challenging for many reasons. Whether it’s a football match or an F1 race, you have to wait for a moment that’s worth capturing and in a split second, frame the shot and click the shutter button. Even when the button is pressed, the camera has to go through a set of processes before the image is captured, from locking focus to analysing the scene to setting the exposure and finally actuating the shutter. The speed at which this needs to happen in the background means there’s little room for error. Unfortunately, the inherent limitations of smartphone cameras, like lower light intake which necessitates longer exposure times, means many just aren’t up to the task.

Notably, the HUAWEI Pura 70 Series has tackled this challenge head-on. The Pura 70 Series boasts a new generation of Ultra Lighting Cameras. And the Pura 70 Ultra takes it a step further with the Ultra Lighting Pop-Out Camera. A 1-inch sensor and a large F1.6 aperture mean the Pura 70 Ultra has the largest light intake on a mobile smartphone camera in the industry. Together with the industry’s first HUAWEI XD Motion Engine, the camera can activate the Ultra Speed Snapshot feature – enabling users to capture fleeting moments effortlessly.

Thanks to the Ultra Speed Snapshot feature, you can freeze a shot in the middle of an action – whether it is a striker shooting the ball into the net or a bird spreading its wings while in flight. And thanks to the telephoto camera on the Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70 Ultra, you can even capture the action from a distance.

Intelligent Image Optimisation with XD Motion Engine

Alongside the hardware innovation, the Pura 70 Series employs the XD Motion Engine, which does all the heavy lifting behind the scenes to make Ultra Speed Snapshots possible. When photographing high-speed subjects in motion, it uses a real-time sensor dual exposure. The short exposure records the details of the moment, and the long exposure retains rich background information. Through AI Motion Vector Computing, the shots captured by the long and short exposures are matched by their features through Regional Motion Restore to produce a crisp photograph with the high-definition qualities of the fleeting moment.

This enables you to indulge effortlessly in snapshot photography and capture scenes like pets jumping in the air or a motorboat slicing through the waves. No matter how much movement, these scenes are accurately portrayed through intelligent matching, with details fully restored.

Anti-Shake OIS for Improved Image Stabilisation

Mesmerised by a street performer doing impressive card tricks while you explore a new country, or spot a fascinating cultural monument during a tour bus ride? Capturing fast-moving scenes clearly is often a (blurry) challenge with ordinary smartphone cameras, but is truly effortless with the HUAWEI Pura 70 Series.

The series offers a sharper focus through the Ultra Lighting Main Camera, which now has a 1/1.3-inch Large sensor size and is equipped with the industry’s largest physical aperture of F1.4. This allows a large light intake, boosting the camera’s ability to capture crisp and sharp images of the moving subject. The camera also incorporates a high precision and high stability slide guide motor, significantly improving the focusing accuracy.

The HUAWEI Pura 70 and HUAWEI Pura 70 Pro also improve image stabilisation with an upgraded anti-shake angle that has been increased by 91%. At the same time, the HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra also supports sensor shift OIS. Using the dynamic motion compensation of the sensor to replace the dynamic motion compensation of the camera improves image stabilisation by 67%. The result is a breathtaking shot that captures the realism and emotion of the moment.
