This cherry blossom season, House of Suntory warmly extends an invitation to immerse yourself in a delightful sensory journey, capturing the essence of Japanese culture. Embrace the beauty of the season as we offer South Africans a unique opportunity to revel in the splendour of cherry blossoms right here in our own locale. Join us in celebrating this cultural phenomenon through our exclusive pop-up tasting installation.

The pop-up, rooted in the three pillars of Suntory – WA (being in harmony with Japanese nature), Omotenashi (experiences of Japanese hospitality and culture) and Monozukuri (Japanese craftsmanship), creates an immersive experience where visitors physically and digitally step into the essence of Brand Japan.

In collaboration with like-minded partners, the pop-up amplifies the Brand Japan narrative, adding authenticity and credibility.

Weekend Lifestyle Masterclasses:

Craftsmanship takes centre stage with lifestyle masterclasses, aligning meaningfully with the Japanese concept of MONOZUKURI.

Elevate your understanding of Japanese craftsmanship and culture through exclusive weekend lifestyle masterclasses starting at 11:00. Each masterclass, spanning 120 minutes, includes a tantalizing tasting pairing experience. Tickets for these Saturday masterclasses are available at R1200 per person to be purchased via https://qkt.io/Us8ygN

Daily Brand Tasting Experience:

Delve into the world of Japanese izakaya-style establishments with the daily Brand Tasting Experience, offering expertly curated Food, Gin, and Whisky pairings. Tastings will be hosted on weekdays (Tuesday-Friday) at 13:00 and 19:00, providing a perfect opportunity to savour the true essence of Japanese flavours.

Seize the opportunity to immerse yourself in Japanese culture in South Africa through this exclusive House of Suntory pop-up, open for just 7 weeks!

With lunch and dinner seating’s for 12 people at a time, secure your ticket priced from R400. Book via Quicket (https://qkt.io/F3hGEn) and the doors open to the public on the 16th of March.

As an extra touch, patrons purchasing a bottle of Roku, Toki, or Hibiki from WhiskyBrother in Hyde Park Corner will receive a free custom Japanese furoshiki gift-wrapping cloth with their purchase. (While stocks last)
