Embark on an exhilarating adventure of flowers and food on a West Coast Way tour! Experience the magic of South Africa’s West Coast flora as the landscape transforms into a colorful wonderland from August to September on these limited-space tours: from Tuesday 27 August to Saturday 31 August 2024 and from Friday 6 September to Tuesday 10 September 2024. Small, exclusive tour groups of up to 10 people are led by local Weskus experts with over 30 years of experience in nature and cultural guided tours.

Carmen Lerm, founder of West Coast Way, says: “Our knowledgeable guides and drivers will share fascinating insights into the region’s unique ecology and conservation efforts. Whether you’re a nature lover, aspiring photographer, or curious traveller, this tour offers an unforgettable journey.”

Explore breathtaking spots like the Biedouw Valley and venture into Nieuwoudtville, Postberg, Clanwilliam, and Klein Namakwaland — home to rare flowers offering a spectacular display of white, red, orange, yellow, purple, and blue hues. These stunning plants form a part of the Cape Floral Kingdom, making the Cape West Coast one of the richest areas in the world for endemic plant species.

This annual phenomenon occurs when the usually arid landscape is painted with an array of blooming wildflowers, creating a breathtaking and picturesque scene. After good rain, and once the sun comes out, the spring season bring rain daisies, lilac drumsticks, bobbejaantjies, gousblomme, salvia, elandsvy, beesvygies, skaapbossies, waterslaai, and spinnekopblomme, all nestled within the rich Fynbos, Strandveld, and Renosterveld ecosystems.

The diverse flavours on the menu of regional favorites like snoek, West Coast mussels, fresh salads, and South African mini roosterkoek with jam and cheese, Koeksisters and Skuinskoek will make this once-in-a-lifetime tour even more memorable. This taste exploration will include the unique and exquisite Weskus wine, the soothing and aromatic Rooibos Tea, and refreshing craft beer.

This 3-Day West Coast Way Wildflowers and Food Tour is an all-inclusive experience with four nights at top-rated accommodation, where you travel in air-conditioned vehicles in the expert care of local guides and drivers, who bring you to remote locations that captivate the imagination. The cost per person sharing is R13 900.00. Make your booking today with Zubeida on 072 392 4017. Visit www.westcoastway.co.zafor more details, or email wildflowers@westcoastway.co.za to book.
