Superbalist has opened the gates to South Africa’s EDEN with the new and exquisite Superbalist X Lulama Wolf Collection featuring womenswear and homeware creations in collaboration with the globally acclaimed visual artist.

The range is the first ever artist collaboration for South Africa’s largest online fashion retailer. In this collection the brands marry art, design, and functionality to celebrate South Africa’s unique beauty. Driven by bold, abstract prints and a mix of neutral, earthy tones and statement shades, the collection showcases the beauty of the earth, the value of nostalgia and the importance of joy.

While her natural designs reflect the patterned landscapes of Africa, they are also an expression of her purpose as a woman of colour who is committed to sharing her perspective and inspiring the next generation of African artists through her creative talent.

The EDEN Collection, available exclusively on Superbalist, transports us back reminding us of the beginning. “EDEN encompasses the idea of the joy of life and the gift of the earth and land – being a verbal, sonic and visual idea of all that is important to me. Feelings of joy, nostalgia, ease and softness come through in the collection,” explains Lulama

“I love every silhouette in this line of clothing and homeware, and that the pieces can stand individually and be uniquely styled for every wardrobe,” says Wolf.

Wolf was specifically chosen as the first artist collaboration because she represents so many values that align with Superbalist’s vision and brand.

“Superbalist is a proudly South African brand and believes in supporting and collaborating with local creatives and entrepreneurs, which is why this collaboration is so special,” says Zubair Noor, Superbalist Chief Marketing Officer.

“Lulama is one of South Africa’s most authentic, inspirational creatives, with a great sense of style and aesthetic that is visible in all of her work. These characteristics make her the perfect fit for Superbalist’s first major collaboration with an artist.” adds Noor.

The South African essence of Wolf’s designs and Superbalist homegrown roots and commitment to local artists merge in the perfect brand collaboration – the first major for Superbalist with an artist.

The fashion collection comprises dresses, skirts and blouses with something for everyone including bold prints and minimal earthy tones. The homeware range boasts home décor pieces that stand out boldly, including rugs and cushions.
