Sweet, smooth and fruity: A Single Malt with Double the Flavour

Tamnavulin (Gaelic for “mill on the hill”) is a single malt Scotch whisky brand renowned for its rich heritage and exceptional craftsmanship. The brand is celebrated for its commitment to quality and tradition, using only the finest ingredients and time-honoured distillation methods to create a whisky that is complex yet accessible.

Nestled in the heart of Speyside, tucked away on the edge of the River Livet, in the rural village of Tomnavoulin, Scotland, the story began with a small group of skilled, time-served craftsmen and women at Tamnavulin Distillery who began creating this signature Speyside malt over 50 years ago.  Home to over half of Scotland’s operating malt whisky distilleries, Speyside is the perfect location to produce whisky. The unique microclimate of the region makes it a very temperate area of Scotland. This, combined with the abundance of rich farmland, makes it an ideal place to grow barley and mature whisky.

Inspired by their location and using the finest ingredients, combined with age-old distilling expertise and new sophisticated techniques, these men and women continue to create Tamnavulin’s signature, twice-matured Speyside malt – guaranteeing a single malt with double the flavour.

The whisky is aged in American oak barrels, and finessed in Sherry casks, imparting a distinctive character to each expression. You can expect a whisky so deliciously flavourful – you simply won’t be able to keep it to yourself. Enjoy responsibly, and don’t forget to pass it on.

Tamnavulin Double Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky (RSP R489,00)
Matured in American oak barrels for a sweet, mellow taste with a rich, smooth Sherry cask finish:

Colour – Amber gold.
Nose – Rich, warm aromas of apple, toffee and honey with sweet marzipan and subtle tangy marmalade notes.
Palate – Fresh, mellow with pear creamy peaches and pineapple and a hint of Demerara sugar.
Finish – Rich, smooth and refreshing. A signature Speyside malt.

Tamnavulin Sherry Cask Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky (RSP R509,00)
Matured in American Oak Barrels and enhanced by a finesse in three different Sherry casks. A classic revelation from the Speyside Valley:

Colour – Amber gold.
Nose – A bouquet marked by freshly baked tarte tatin and vanilla pod, soon giving way to another level of charm as nuances of banana, caramelised orange and fresh ginger completes this tapestry of temptation.
Palate – Warm and inviting. The palate detects an avalanche of exotic flavours, glazed nectarines and frangipane, shortly enlightened by hints of sticky toffee pudding, Demerara sugar and Seville oranges.
Finish – Complex and rich. Fruit cake, over ripe apricots.
