The University of Johannesburg Art Gallery, in partnership with Everard Read Gallery and the Embassy of Sweden Pretoria, would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to all who were able to join us for the opening of the ‘Ntlo E Etsamayang’ exhibition on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

The UJ Arts Gallery was immersed in a profound spiritual and gratifying moment and celebrated Mmakgabo Helen Sebidi. Guests, alongside cherished family members and esteemed members of the artistic community, united to pay homage to the profound journey of Sebidi, celebrating the rich exchange of knowledge between South Africa and Sweden.

As the exhibition unfolded, the air resonated with soulful melodies, weaving an atmosphere of enchantment.  The outpouring of love and admiration reverberated throughout the gallery, creating a truly memorable experience for all in attendance.

Once again, our sincerest appreciation goes out to each and every one of you who contributed to the success of this momentous occasion. Your presence and support are invaluable as we continue to celebrate and promote the richness of artistic expression.
