Picture this: a luxurious staycation with your significant other in the heart of Sandton where urbanites with a love for the bush can indulge in a Safari Serenity weekend. Don’t let the fact there are no game reserves in Sandton CBD stop you. The Maslow Sandton has mapped out all the details with a day trip to the Bothongo Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve, and the thrill of the wild right on your doorstep.

After a refreshing night’s rest in the four-star hotel feast on the renowned breakfast buffet atLacuna Bistro. The spread of seasonal fruit, pastries, freshly baked seed loaf, cereals, dried fruit compôte, salmon, charcuterie and cheese platters with fruit smoothies is followed by a hot selection of streaky bacon, hash browns, sausages, poached haddock, grilled tomatoes, roasted button mushrooms, omelettes and more, to ensure you are fully-fuelled for the safari adventure that awaits.

Within an hour of departing The Maslow Sandton, your shuttle will arrive at Bothongo Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve in Krugersdorp. Get your animal-spotting eye tuned in during a two-hour guided game drive, where besides rhinos and lions, there is the opportunity to observe endangered species such as cheetahs, African wild dogs, clouded leopards, black jaguars, pygmy hippos, and a range of plains game.

Keep hunger pangs at bay with a complimentary snack pack of water, juice, a chicken and mayo sarmie (vegetarian is available too), dried fruit and nuts to keep you energised during your wildlife adventure.

Once you have absorbed all nature has to offer and regained a sense of harmony with the world, you will be returned to The Maslow Sandton having created ample memorable moments.

The Safari Serenity Overnight Staycation offer starts from R3 603 per person for any weekend night and continues until the end of April 2025.
