SKYWORTH Unveils New Mini-LED TVs

The future of home entertainment is getting brighter, more colourful and more immersive as SKYWORTH unveils its latest Mini-LED television portfolio in South Africa.

At its 2026 SKYWORTH MINI LED New Product Launch in Johannesburg, the technology brand introduced its newest display innovations under the theme “MINI-LED Universe · ALL IN SKYWORTH.”

The launch marks another step in SKYWORTH’s push to expand its premium TV offering while giving South African consumers more choice across the Mini-LED category.

But one technology stood out from the rest.

WRGB Mini-LED Makes Its South African Debut

The headline moment of the launch was the South African debut of SKYWORTH’s WRGB Mini-LED technology.

The technology introduces a new backlight structure combining RGB LEDs with Full-Spectrum White LEDs. Unlike a conventional setup, the four light sources can be controlled independently.

According to SKYWORTH, this approach is designed to balance three key elements: wider colour performance, higher brightness and improved viewing comfort.

That combination is important because today’s televisions are expected to do far more than simply display movies and shows.

A family might use the same screen for a blockbuster movie at night, live sport on the weekend, gaming in the afternoon or children’s entertainment during the day.

SKYWORTH says WRGB Mini-LED is designed to adapt to these different viewing scenarios.

Three Modes. Different Ways to Watch.

SKYWORTH has also built three dedicated picture modes into its WRGB Mini-LED technology.

They are:

  • Eye-Friendly Mode
  • RGB Vivid Mode
  • True Nature Mode

Each mode is designed around a different viewing preference.

Eye-Friendly Mode focuses on a more comfortable viewing experience, while RGB Vivid Mode is designed to deliver a more vibrant picture. True Nature Mode focuses on a more natural-looking viewing experience.

The idea is simple: instead of treating every viewing situation the same, the technology gives users different ways to experience their content.

From family movie nights and live sport to gaming, the range is designed to cater to different users and everyday scenarios, including children and older family members.

SKYWORTH Expands Its Mini-LED Universe

WRGB Mini-LED was not the only technology showcased in Johannesburg.

SKYWORTH also unveiled a broader Mini-LED portfolio featuring Super QD-Mini LED, RGB Mini LED and QD-Mini LED series.

The expanded line-up is designed to offer consumers more options across the premium TV category.

The portfolio brings together features including higher brightness, more precise local dimming, richer colour reproduction and a more immersive viewing experience.

For South African consumers, that means the Mini-LED offering is no longer a one-size-fits-all proposition.

Different homes, viewing habits and entertainment preferences can call for different specifications. SKYWORTH’s expanded portfolio is designed to meet those varying needs.

It Goes Beyond the TV

The Johannesburg launch also offered a glimpse into SKYWORTH’s wider vision for the connected home.

Alongside its latest televisions, the company showcased products across several other categories, including audio products, refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners.

The broader product range highlights SKYWORTH’s growing smart home ecosystem.

Rather than focusing solely on the television sitting in the living room, the brand is positioning its technology across multiple areas of the home, with the aim of creating a more connected and convenient lifestyle.

South Africa Remains a Key Focus

For SKYWORTH, the South African market represents more than another destination for its products.

The company describes South Africa as a long-term partner in its continued growth.

Over the years, SKYWORTH says it has focused on understanding the changing needs of South African consumers while expanding its product portfolio and working to enhance product quality, customer service and the overall user experience.

That local focus is set to continue.

Looking ahead, SKYWORTH says it will continue investing in display innovation, expanding its product offering and strengthening its local service capabilities.

The company also plans to work closely with retail partners across the country as it seeks to deliver trusted technology, premium products and improved home entertainment experiences to South African families.

A Bigger Screen Story

The 2026 SKYWORTH MINI LED New Product Launch signals a clear direction for the brand.

With WRGB Mini-LED making its South African debut and a wider Mini-LED portfolio joining the line-up, SKYWORTH is placing display technology firmly at the centre of its premium home entertainment strategy.

And with televisions increasingly becoming the hub of modern entertainment and connected living, the battle is no longer simply about having a bigger screen.

It is about what happens on it.

With its latest Mini-LED innovations, SKYWORTH is betting on brighter pictures, richer colour, greater flexibility and more comfortable viewing — while building an increasingly connected ecosystem around the screen.

For South African consumers, the result is more choice as the premium TV landscape continues to evolve.
