The next evolution of iPhone has arrived on the pre-order stage in South Africa, and iStore is giving customers more ways to make the upgrade their own. With trade-in savings, four major cellular networks and complimentary iCarePlus included, the new iPhone Duo is now available to pre-order.

JOHANNESBURG, 16 October 2026 — The wait is over for customers ready to explore Apple’s latest iPhone experience. Pre-orders for the new iPhone Duo are officially open at iStore, Africa’s only Apple Premium Partner.

Starting at R47,999, the iPhone Duo can cost as little as R30,199 when customers trade in eligible devices at iStore. Customers can pre-order for cash or arrange a cellular contract upgrade through Vodacom, MTN, Telkom or Cell C.

Pre-orders are available through istore.co.za and the iStore app, giving customers a direct route to the new device.

Meet the next evolution of iPhone

The iPhone Duo introduces a series of features designed to change how users experience their device, from its display and materials to its camera system.

It features the largest iPhone display ever, with a nano-texture inner display designed to reduce glare. Its construction includes a Grade 5 titanium frame and hinge cover, alongside Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the back.

Photography also takes a new direction. The device features 48MP Fusion Main and Ultra-Wide cameras, as well as Smart Take, which captures pictures automatically.

On the front, the iPhone Duo introduces the first under-display FaceTime camera and a 12MP Center Stage front camera.

Together, these features position the iPhone Duo as an evolution of the iPhone experience, with changes spanning the display, design and photography.

Trade in your old tech and save

For customers looking to upgrade without paying the full starting price, iStore is offering trade-in options that can make the purchase more affordable.

Eligible trade-ins can bring the price of the iPhone Duo down to R30,199. Customers can also receive up to R25,000 cash back when trading in a previously loved iPhone.

The trade-in programme extends beyond iPhones. Customers can trade in up to five products at once, including an iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, Android phone or PC.

Depending on the transaction, payment can be made directly into the customer’s bank account or applied as instant store credit.

This gives customers the flexibility to exchange devices they no longer need and put their value towards their next purchase.

Four major networks, one destination

Choosing a new iPhone also means deciding how to connect it. At iStore, customers can access Vodacom, MTN, Telkom and Cell C under one roof.

Whether upgrading an existing cellular contract or taking out a new one, customers can choose from all four networks while keeping their number.

iStore also offers exclusive value-added services designed to enhance the upgrade experience. The aim is to bring the device, network options and customer support together in one place.

Free iCarePlus worth R1,999

Every iPhone Duo purchased at iStore includes complimentary iCarePlus, valued at R1,999.

The package includes a two-year warranty and screen repair protection, adding further value to the purchase.

For customers investing in a new device, this benefit forms part of iStore’s broader offering, which combines the product with additional support and protection.

Personalised setup and expert support

Getting a new phone should be about enjoying its features, not struggling to move everything across.

That is why every iPhone Duo purchased at iStore includes free setup, personalised training and data transfer delivered by Apple specialists.

The service is designed to help customers transition to their new device smoothly, with expert assistance available as they get started.

Linda van der Nest, Chief Commercial Officer at iStore, says the focus extends beyond the product itself.

“Our focus is on giving South African customers an exceptional Apple experience that goes beyond the product,” says van der Nest.

She adds that iStore is combining flexible trade-in options, a choice of contracts across all four major networks, complimentary iCarePlus, and expert setup and support to simplify the upgrade process.

Pre-order now for priority access

Customers who pre-order the iPhone Duo through istore.co.za or the iStore app will receive priority access to stock as soon as shipments arrive.

With a starting price of R47,999, potential trade-in savings of up to R25,000, four major network options and free iCarePlus included, iStore is bringing several benefits together for customers preparing to upgrade.

For those ready to make the move, the next step is simple: explore the available options, check the value of eligible trade-in devices and secure a pre-order through iStore.

The iPhone Duo is available to pre-order at the home of iPhone: istore.co.za.
