A bold new design celebrates football's biggest stage as adidas introduces the Official Match Ball for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ semi-finals, bronze final and final.

As the FIFA World Cup 2026™ reaches its most dramatic chapter, adidas has unveiled a brand-new Official Match Ball created exclusively for the tournament’s decisive matches. Named TRIONDA FINAL, the premium ball will take centre stage during the semi-finals, bronze final and final, combining striking new aesthetics with the same elite-level performance technology trusted throughout the competition.

Rather than simply refreshing the colour palette, adidas has introduced an entirely new design for the closing stages of the FIFA World Cup™—a first in the tournament’s history.

A New Identity for Football’s Biggest Matches

Building on the TRIONDA Official Match Ball, first unveiled in October 2025, the TRIONDA FINAL has been created to reflect the significance of the tournament’s closing fixtures while maintaining identical on-field performance.

The ball features an elegant combination of gold, black and white, creating a premium appearance worthy of football’s grandest occasion.

Its gold finish draws inspiration from the iconic FIFA World Cup™ trophy, symbolising the ultimate prize every nation dreams of lifting. The gold detailing sits against a sophisticated black base, while energetic pink and red accents inject vibrancy into the design and visually connect the ball to the boots worn by players during the tournament.

Instead of treating the final match ball as a simple colour variation, adidas has developed a unique visual identity that marks the importance of the competition’s final chapter.

Celebrating the Cities Hosting Football’s Biggest Moments

TRIONDA FINAL also tells the story of the tournament through its graphics.

The design incorporates bold typography that celebrates the four host cities staging the World Cup’s decisive matches:

  • Dallas
  • Atlanta
  • Miami
  • New York New Jersey

These cities feature prominently across the main panel graphics, while the remaining FIFA World Cup 2026™ host cities are integrated into the triangular design elements across the ball’s surface, creating a layered visual narrative that reflects the tournament’s journey from opening whistle to championship glory.

Built for Elite Performance

Although the appearance has evolved, the performance remains exactly the same as the original TRIONDA Official Match Ball.

TRIONDA FINAL retains adidas’ innovative four-panel construction, along with the identical panel shape and textured surface designed to deliver consistent performance from the tournament’s opening fixture through to its final kick.

The ball’s intentionally deep seams and carefully engineered surface textures are designed to support:

  • Enhanced aerodynamics
  • Greater flight stability
  • Consistent ball movement throughout every match

This ensures players experience the same predictable performance during the tournament’s biggest moments.

Connected Ball Technology Returns

TRIONDA FINAL also continues to feature the latest generation of adidas Connected Ball Technology.

The technology provides real-time ball data to support match officials, helping deliver faster decision-making during games while also offering deeper insights into match play.

By combining cutting-edge innovation with elite-level engineering, adidas continues its commitment to supporting both performance and officiating on football’s biggest stage.

Available in South Africa From 17 July

South African football fans won’t have to wait long to own the same ball used during the FIFA World Cup 2026™ finals.

The TRIONDA FINAL Official Match Ball will retail for R2,799 and becomes available from 17 July 2026 through adidas retail stores, selected retailers and online.

With its premium design, tournament storytelling and proven match-day technology, TRIONDA FINAL is set to become one of the defining symbols of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ finale.
