Johannesburg, South Africa — This September, Joburg’s most-loved artisanal experience — The Linden Market — celebrates 10 years of handmade magic, community spirit, and local entrepreneurship with its Spring Edition, set for Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September 2025 at the Emmarentia Botanical Gardens.

What began a decade ago as a small community market has evolved into a must-visit lifestyle destination, drawing thousands of visitors each year. Over the past 10 years, The Linden Market has given over 2,000 local artisans, designers, musicians, and food creators a platform to thrive, making it one of the most impactful community markets in South Africa.

🌿 A Market That Grew Into a Movement

The Linden Market is not just a place to shop — it’s an ecosystem of creativity. Its 10-year journey highlights how supporting small businesses fuels Johannesburg’s cultural heartbeat. The market has grown into a biannual celebration, with Spring and Summer editions drawing in crowds from all over Gauteng.

From artisanal food and craft beverages to sustainable fashion, handmade décor, fine art, live music, and dog-friendly experiences, The Linden Market has become a space where Joburgers gather to celebrate local talent and vibrant community energy.

🎶 Launch of the First-Ever Linden Market Anthem

To mark this 10-year milestone, The Linden Market introduces its first-ever anthem, “We Build Together (Siyakhe Sonke)” — a powerful tribute to the entrepreneurs and visitors who’ve made the market what it is today.

  • Performed by: Idols finalist Suzzi Swanepoel, folk singer Lungleo Moyo, and the Greenside High Choir

  • Written & Produced by: Wesley West (composer/producer) and Stachia Conradie (lyrics)

This anthem reflects the resilience of local makers, the joy of community, and the heartbeat of Johannesburg’s creative scene.

💬 Why The Linden Market Matters

“This song and this Spring Edition are a tribute to every entrepreneur who set up before sunrise, every visitor who supported local, and every maker who turned passion into livelihood. The Linden Market is a reminder that when we support local, we build together.”

The Linden Market’s 10-year milestone is not just about the past — it’s a call to shape the future of community-driven entrepreneurship in South Africa.
