G’day mate, if you want to experience fair dinkum Aussie humour, be sure not to miss Jim Jefferies when he performs at the GrandWest Grand Arena on Thursday, 21 November.

Audiences across the world relate to the Sydney native’s brand of comedy which aims to be provocative, belief challenging and thought provoking. Jim’s current Give ‘Em What They Want tour, started at the end of 2022 with dates throughout Asia, Europe, North America and South Africa.

The acclaimed comedian was honored as Stand-Up Comedian of the Year at the international Just for Laughs Festival in summer 2019. Jim’s tenth stand up special, High & Dry, came out on Netflix last year and he currently hosts his own podcast: I Don’t Know About That with Jim Jefferies.

Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster starting from R1 135.

If the 1970s was your musical era then the Kool & the Gang show at the GrandWest Grand Arena on Thursday, 28 November is for you.

Kool & the Gang, officially launched in 1969. Thanks to iconic songs like Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Summer Madness, and Open Sesame, they’ve earned two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits, 9 Top Ten Pop hits, and 31 gold and platinum albums. The group has performed continuously longer than any R&B group in history and their bulletproof funk and jazzy arrangements have also made them the most sampled R&B band of all time.

Audiences will also experience the Special Guests Earth Wind & Fire Experience, conceived and rehearsed by Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum recording artist Al McKay. The all-star line-up includes legendary vocalists Tim Owens, DeVere Duckett, Claude Woods as well as former EWF member Gregory Moore. The former Earth, Wind & Fire guitarist was a member of the band from 1973 to 1981, and teamed up with group founder Maurice White to pen the band’s seminal hits “September” and “Sing A Song” and honed his chops playing with Ike & Tina Turner and Sammy Davis Jr.

HIStory, the full-scale stage production honouring Michael Jackson returns to Cape Town at the GrandWest Grand Arena on Saturday, 30 November.

The show takes the audience through a historical journey, beginning with the Jackson 5 and ending with the genius of legendary king of pop, Michael Jackson. Well-known hits include Thriller, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Bad, Beat It, ABC, Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough, Human Nature, PYT, They Don’t Really Care About Us and many more.
