Time Square is ready to welcome back the fifth instalment of one of South Africa’s biggest arena rock shows, Francois van Coke & Vriende 2024, coming to its SunBet Arena on Friday, 04 October 2024.
No stranger to the Afrikaans music scene, Francois Badenhorst, better known by his stage name Francois Van Coke, shot to fame as the front man of rock bands Fokofpolisiekar in 2003 and Van Coke Kartel in 2007.
The Francois van Coke & Vriende concerts are collaborations with Francois and artists and bands he has teamed up before, which is why it is one of the biggest rock performances in the country. Karen Zoid makes a comeback to the line-up since her appearance at the first concert in 2018.
The other “vriende” (friends) for 2024 include: Die Heuwels Fantasties, Early B, Elandré, Fokofpolisiekar, Hunter Kennedy, Jack Parow, Neon Dreams, Spoegwolf and Tasché.
The 120-minute rock spectacular is backed by Francois’ band, Die Gevaar.
