Glenfiddich and Aston Martin F1™

A 16-Year-Old Whisky Born of Speed, Spirit, and Legacy

In a world where heritage meets horsepower, Glenfiddich has unveiled a whisky unlike any other: the limited edition Glenfiddich 16-Year-Old Single Malt, created in celebration of its global partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One® Team.

This is not just a bottle of whisky. It is a story of two icons — one born in the rolling hills of Speyside, the other on the asphalt circuits of the world — both defined by precision, performance, and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence.

A Whisky Engineered Like a Supercar

Every drop of the Glenfiddich 16-Year-Old is a masterclass in balance and boldness. Matured in American oak wine casks, new American barrels, and second-fill bourbon casks, it mirrors the artistry of an Aston Martin car — crafted with meticulous attention to detail, tuned for exhilaration.

The tasting journey begins with aromas of maple syrup and caramelised ginger, drifting into the richness of a cheesecake base. On the palate, layers of fresh fruit salad and Chantilly cream unfold, before accelerating into a finish that is bold, smooth, and unyielding — the liquid equivalent of crossing the finish line at full throttle.

Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich’s Master Distiller, frames it perfectly:

“The Glenfiddich 16-Year-Old combines craftsmanship and precision in a whisky that invites exploration and discovery, much like the journey of our partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One™ Team. It is tradition and innovation racing side by side.”

When Masters of Craft Join Forces

The Glenfiddich–Aston Martin alliance, first announced at the Las Vegas Grand Prix in November 2024, was more than a sponsorship deal. It was a marriage of worlds — whisky and racing, heritage and modernity, patience and speed.

Claudia Falcone, Global Brand Director at Glenfiddich, calls the 16YO release the opening lap in a long race of creativity:

“This bottling is just the beginning. Through this collaboration we invite enthusiasts worldwide to engage with these iconic brands in bold new ways and create memorable moments that reach far beyond the racetrack.”

A Trophy Worth Chasing in South Africa

In South Africa, this release takes on a special significance. Whisky collectors and motorsport fans alike will celebrate it through a luxury lifestyle campaign, culminating in the exclusive Club 1959 event, timed to coincide with the Formula One semi-finals in October.

Søren Hagh, CEO of William Grant & Sons, captures its essence for the South African audience:

“Our whisky lovers are seeking brands with authenticity, craft, and a compelling story. The Glenfiddich 16YO is all three: a collector’s piece, a symbol of excellence, and a toast to those who live with passion and precision.”

More Than Whisky, More Than Racing

For whisky connoisseurs, it is a collector’s bottle.
For racing fans, it is a keepsake of motorsport history.
For both, it is proof that when craft and character converge, the result is timeless.

The Glenfiddich 16-Year-Old Aston Martin Edition is available at leading retailers nationwide in South Africa at a recommended price of R1699.99, while stocks last.

Because sometimes, history isn’t written on paper. It’s poured into a glass.

Please enjoy Glenfiddich responsibly. Never drink and drive.
