New city. New suspects. Same dangerously entertaining trio.

The Emmy®-Award winning comedy series “Only Murders in the Building” is opening a brand-new chapter, and this time, Charles, Oliver and Mabel are crossing the Atlantic.

Disney+ has unveiled the first look images from Season Six, teasing the biggest change in the show’s history: the beloved crime-solving trio are leaving New York City behind for London.

The sixth season, titled “Only Murders in London,” premieres on Tuesday, December 8, on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ internationally.

And if the first five seasons taught viewers anything, wherever these three go, murder is never far behind.

A New City. A Very Familiar Problem.

After once again bringing a killer to justice, Charles, Oliver and Mabel find themselves facing their most challenging case yet.

Their next mystery begins when Cinda Canning arrives at their doorstep.

She is not simply looking for help.

She is calling on the trio to travel to London and find the person responsible for her murder.

Yes — Cinda Canning is the next victim.

That sends the three true-crime podcasters far beyond the familiar streets of New York and into the city that has long been synonymous with the classic murder mystery.

But London brings an entirely new world of suspects.

Welcome to the Home of the Cozy Murder Mystery

For Charles, Oliver and Mabel, London is more than a change of scenery.

It is the home of the cozy murder mystery.

And the trio will have to navigate a new collection of suspicious characters and particularly English-eccentric personalities as they attempt to solve Cinda’s murder.

There is also a deliciously unsettling question hanging over the investigation.

Cinda Canning’s podcast helped inspire the trio’s own journey into true crime.

Now they are investigating her death.

Can they follow in the footsteps of the woman whose podcast started it all for them?

More importantly, can they do it without their own story ending the same way hers did?

That question sits at the centre of the new season.

The Trio Is Back

The move to London does not mean audiences are saying goodbye to the characters who made the series a phenomenon.

Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez return as Charles, Oliver and Mabel.

Their chemistry remains at the heart of the series as the unlikely investigators take on their most ambitious mystery yet.

The sixth season also boasts an extraordinary collection of special guest stars.

Joining the cast are Tina Fey, Olivia Colman, Meryl Streep, David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan and Martin Freeman, among others.

That is a formidable lineup for a murder mystery — which raises another important question:

Who can be trusted?

From New York to London

The international move marks a significant new direction for “Only Murders in the Building”.

For five seasons, New York City has been deeply woven into the show’s identity.

Now, the series is taking its central trio somewhere completely different.

London offers a new backdrop, a new group of characters and a new atmosphere, while the show’s signature combination of comedy and mystery remains firmly in place.

The result promises to put Charles, Oliver and Mabel somewhere they have never been before.

And potentially somewhere even more dangerous.

Behind the Mystery

“Only Murders in the Building” comes from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman, whose credits include “Grace & Frankie” and “Looking”.

Season Six executive producers include John Hoffman, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan.

The new season arrives with the series carrying its status as an Emmy®-Award winning comedy, while its latest mystery expands the world beyond the building that started it all.

First Look at the London Mystery

Disney+ has released the first look images ahead of the new season, offering viewers an early glimpse at Charles, Oliver and Mabel’s London adventure.

The images give fans their first visual taste of the new setting while keeping the central mystery firmly under wraps.

And perhaps that is exactly how it should be.

Because with “Only Murders in the Building”, the fun has never been just about discovering who did it.

It is about following the clues, questioning everyone and enjoying the chaos along the way.

This time, the clues lead across the Atlantic.

Mark the Date

“Only Murders in London” premieres Tuesday, December 8, on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally.

Charles has his theories.

Oliver has his instincts.

Mabel has her questions.

London has its secrets.

And somewhere in the city is a killer who clearly picked the wrong trio to leave behind.

The murder mystery has gone international.
