The Sunday Society Picnics are back — bigger, bolder, and more luxurious than ever — transforming The Maslow’s lush lawns into the ultimate urban escape. Picture it: live music drifting through the air, gourmet baskets brimming with indulgence, a glass of Graham Beck bubbly in hand, and you… dressed to impress.

🍾 A Season of Style & Flavour

This year’s season kicks off on 28 September 2025 and runs through to mid-December, with each Sunday bringing its own unique dress code and atmosphere. Think of it as a monthly style soirée, where fashion, food, and friends meet under the Johannesburg sun.

  • 28 Sept – Traditional South African Chic

  • 26 Oct – Summer Vintage Glam

  • 2 Nov – Boho Luxe Neutrals & Floaty Fabrics

  • 30 Nov – Colour Blocking Extravaganza

  • 7 Dec – Festive Gold, Emerald & Crimson

  • 14 Dec – Sparkle & Shine with Sequins & Metallics

🍽 A Feast Fit for the Season

Every picnic features a fresh menu, carefully curated for the occasion. September guests can savour everything from lamb cutlets with chimichurri to panko-crumbed prawns and bacon-wrapped chicken lollipops — plus cheese boards, fresh salads, and decadent desserts like milk tart, cheesecake, and fruit kebabs.

October switches things up with beef kebabs, pork loin piccata, seared chicken & butternut lasagne, and churros paired with red-velvet opera cake for a sweet finale.

And that’s just a taste… every date delivers new gourmet surprises to keep you coming back.

🥂 More Than a Picnic — It’s an Experience

Whether you’re catching up with friends, celebrating romance, or simply treating yourself, Sunday Society Picnics are designed to make every moment sparkle.

Want to turn it into a weekend getaway? Book a Saturday night stay at The Maslow and wake up to a lavish Lacuna Bistro breakfast before strolling down to your reserved picnic spot.
