Indulge in a feast of flavour this winter with a delicious Cape Malay-inspired High Tea at Sun International’s 5-star Table Bay hotel.

Four flavour-filled new savoury items will add a zing to even the coldest winter day:
·       Golden and crunchy Beef Samosa filled with traditional South African sausage
·       Vetkoek Bunny Chow filled to the brim with tender, melt-in-your-mouth Masala Steak
·     A flavour explosion of sweet, savoury and spicy baked Bobotie Quiche
·     Succulent Bo-Kaap Coronation Chicken wrapped in a traditional Roti

Guests will love every moment of every bite of decadently sweet local classics:
·       A cool, refreshing strawberry and rose Falooda
·       Classic Koesisters infused with the tantalising taste of naartjie peel and aniseed
·       Light as air sponge cake dipped in chocolate and coconut for a classic Chocolate Lamington
·       Almond Cream Puffs made with choux pastry filled with creamy almond deliciousness
·       The Peppermint Opera Cake adds a contemporary twist on an old classic
·       The much-loved Cinnamon Milk tart makes it onto the menu with its smooth creamy texture, and a warm touch of cinnamon spice

No High Tea will be complete without Queen Scones! Delight in a selection of warm, freshly baked buttermilk and berry scones, served with a duo of apricot and strawberry jam, a dollop of whipped cream, and a sprinkle of sharp cheddar cheese for a delightful contrast.

A bottomless homemade Masala tea steeped in tradition and served with warmth will round off your tasteful journey.

The high tea costs R350 per person and bookings are essential. Call 021 406 5000 or email tablebaydining@suninternational.comto secure your spot in the cosy lounge.
