Experience Luxury at it’s best at 15 On Orange

We all have that one aspirational hotel we’ve always wanted to stay at, but what if you could get that and more from a different hotel which offers you the same level of luxury, incredible food, a spa experience like no other, and all for the same price? Now, welcome to 15 on Orange.

It’s inspiring to experience a space where form and function complement one another so beautifully, and with each sunrise, you wake up to the majestic table mountain in the distance, and at that moment you sit back in your armchair and embody every manifestation of abundance you’ve ever sent out into the universe – that’s only the beginning.

Recently, while staying at the 5-star Capital Hotel, 15 on Orange, I was taken by an unexpected yet familiar kind of hospitality. The feeling of being welcomed into a space is one thing, but the modern and clean aesthetic of the hotel, coupled with traditional hospitality from arrival and throughout the stay, was a warm welcome after a few other visits around the city.

After checking in and heading up to the room, you exit the lift to dim-lit hallways, immediately putting your brain into “relax” mode, a noticeable change from most hotels. The switch that the brain makes is noticeable because we’re used to being overstimulated within our fast-paced lives. Once you reach your door, you’re almost ready to take off your shoes and soak in the calm feeling at your own pace.

Inside the lush and inviting carpeted suites, form and function meet as muted tones carry you through the space. The luxurious minimalist feel of the beautifully blended whites, blacks, greys and wooden tones elevate the design of the room, highlighting key features like the modern artwork, coffee station, and integrated and recessed TV. Attention to detail is evident in the simplest of things, like how the cushions are adjusted and how the large ceramic bowl is placed on the coffee table.

Curated lighting in the room allows you to choose an intimately lit experience or a well-lit room, depending on your mood. Then you go into the bathroom, where you’re greeted by the statement piece that lends itself to the hotel’s name – the Orange marble-like countertop with its distinct warm backlight.

No need for lights in the evening when your partner is asleep or you’re just looking to use the water closet. The orange glow eliminates the space enough for you to easily make use of any aspect of the bathroom without overwhelming you in white light. You can wake up at your own pace in the morning without being flooded by too much light, which is a unique offering in itself.

With in-house branded Charlotte Rhys products, a gown, slippers, a soak-in tub, and a spacious shower, you could have a spa day in the suite if you chose to. Easily fitting 1 and a half to two standard King hotel rooms into the suite, finding a spot to put up your feet and enjoy a glass of bubbles or a plate of patisseries will undoubtedly be easy.

Beyond the room, you’ll see that the shared spaces don’t resemble those of a property which typically caters to a lot of business travellers. The design of the reception, lobby and bar areas reflect a high-end modern aesthetic that highlights the atrium and overall architecture. It keeps the muted tones without feeling like anything is lacking or unsuited to leisure guests. The spaces are seamlessly sectioned, which gives a feeling of intimacy no matter where you are, but still allows you to take in the entire space.

This hotel is the culmination of chic, clean, bold, modern design.

Over and above the rooms offered, the hotel will soon change its dining menu. Even if you just want to use the spa facilities and grab a drink at the bar to get a taste of how your stay or next spoil would be like, you’ll quickly see why this hotel is so desired by local and international guests alike.
