Register now for Sho’t Left Travel Week 2023: Your chance to showcase your travel deals and attract more domestic tourists

South Africans may be feeling the economic pinch, but domestic travel is on the rise exceeding pre-pandemic levels, 41,0% from 2022, with overnight domestic spending increased by 24,4% compared to Q1 2022.

People are still eager to explore their country and find adventure with a Sho’t Left.

It’s clear that South Africans are keen to discover the splendours of their own backyard and they are finding value in the experience. Now is the opportune time for our country’s travel industry to give local travellers what they crave. It’s time for Sho’t Left Travel Week.

Running from 4 to 10 September 2023, the annual Sho’t Left Travel Week is a unique occasion for South Africa’s tourism industry to maximise tourism success with exclusive and unbeatable travel deals. The Great South African sale hosted by Sho’t Left is open for every member of the tourism industry to upload their deals, going as far as 50% off.

Travel Week is for the tourism industry by the tourism industry and aims to boost value for all participating members, backed by a significant marketing investment from South African Tourism. The result is a powerful platform with a strategically targeted, multi-channel marketing plan that will optimise market exposure for local tourism businesses and generate excitement around the best local deals in every province.

Below are some tips for tourism trade to make the most of this year’s Sho’t Left Travel Week extravaganza.

WHO CAN REGISTER?

Registrations are open to all trade members. South African Tourism encourages everyone from accommodation, airlines, car rental and transfer companies to museums, restaurants, activities, and experiential businesses to register their deals for this year’s Travel Week.

WHAT IS THE COST TO REGISTER?

Registration is free.

HOW MANY DEALS CAN YOU REGISTER?

Participants can register for as many deals as they like. They can also add, edit, or remove deals at any time following registration. However, Travel Week registration runs from 1 July to 25 August 2023.

HOW SHOULD A DEAL BE COMPOSED?

Pictures: Members can upload an unlimited number of images onto a carousel for each deal. Images should be of high quality and be a good representation of your business. The primary image should not contain logos or text. Video uploads are also supported.

The Sho’t Left marketing campaign, which includes social media, TV, radio, and outdoor media, will alert the public to even more deals.
