Wackadoo! Bluey and Bingo Bring Big Family Joy to Pretoria This April

Few animated characters have captured the hearts of families worldwide quite like Bluey. Now, in a moment set to delight children and parents alike, the beloved Heeler sisters—Bluey and Bingo—are heading to Pretoria for a special, one-day-only appearance.

On Sunday, 26 April 2026, Woodlands Mall will transform into a hub of excitement as families gather for an exclusive free meet-and-greet experience, presented in association with PEP.

A Rare Chance to Meet the Heelers

Taking place at the Main Promotions Court (Entrance 4), the event will run across two sessions:

  • 10:00 – 12:00
  • 12:30 – 14:30

With queuing opening as early as 08:00 between Starbucks and Tsonga, organisers are encouraging families to arrive early to secure their spot.

For young fans, the opportunity to meet Bluey—the energetic six-year-old Blue Heeler—and her playful four-year-old sister Bingo is more than just a photo moment. It’s a memory in the making—one that will likely outlast the school holidays themselves.

Parents are welcome to capture the experience on their own devices, with staff on hand to assist in getting that perfect family snapshot.

A Family Day Designed for Real Life

Understanding the realities of family outings, the event has been structured with flexibility in mind. Think of it as a well-coordinated tag-team effort—one adult can hold a place in the queue while the other keeps the little ones entertained, whether through snacks, playtime, or a bit of relaxed browsing.

Snacks and beverages will be available in the queuing area, and prams are fully accommodated—ensuring the experience remains as stress-free as possible.

More Than a Meet-and-Greet

Beyond the main attraction, Woodlands Mall offers a full day’s worth of family-friendly entertainment.

Visitors can explore:

  • The outdoor kiddies’ play area
  • The vibrant Restaurant Piazza
  • Fun Company
  • Nu Metro cinemas

Together, these experiences turn a simple character meet-and-greet into a full, memorable family outing.

“We know how much South African families love Bluey, so bringing the Heeler sisters to Woodlands is something really special,” says Barbara Perry. “We’d love to share it with as many families as possible.”

Find Bluey and Bingo… and Win

The excitement begins even before the big day.

In the lead-up to the event, families can take part in a mall-wide competition by spotting Bluey and Bingo standees placed throughout the centre. By scanning the QR codes on each standee, participants gain entries into a prize draw—with additional entries for every character found.

One lucky winner will walk away with:

  • A R500 voucher from PEP
  • A R2000 Woodlands Gift Card

Entries close on 26 April 2026 at 17:00, adding an extra layer of fun and engagement to the experience.

A Moment of Joy in a Busy World

In a fast-paced world, moments that bring families together—simple, joyful, and shared—carry lasting value.

This April, Bluey and Bingo aren’t just visiting Pretoria.
They’re creating a space for connection, laughter, and memories that families will carry long after the day ends.
