boatica Cape Town, Africa’s premier boating and nautical lifestyle exhibition, returns against the breathtaking backdrop of the Mother City. From the 25th to the 27th of October 2024, the V&A Waterfront will host an exceptional showcase of South Africa’s foremost boating and lifestyle brands.

Continuing its tradition of excellence, boatica Cape Town 2024 pledges to surpass expectations. In partnership with the City of Cape Town for a three-year collaboration, this event transcends mere boat showcasing; it’s a celebration of the blue economy and a platform for boat builders to shine.

The 2024 edition boasts a diverse range of activities, including exclusive product launches, and captivating demonstrations. With 80+ exhibitors, attendees can explore a diverse range of vessels, from a variety of powerboats to large luxury catamarans, as well as the latest in boating; water sports and activities, electronic gadgets, gear, and equipment.

A standout feature of boatica Cape Town 2024 is its comprehensive water programme. From Greg Bertish’s Great Optimist Race sponsored by boatica to the SA Sailing Clinic, along with activities such as supping, kayaking, foiling, dragon boats, and informative talks, there’s something for every water enthusiast.

Furthermore, the event introduces a new layout, joining land and water to provide a dynamic and immersive experience for all attendees. To kick off the excitement, registration is now open, with a limited time offer of 2-for-1 tickets for any day admission.

Friday, the opening day of the show hosts the Trade Day, providing sector stakeholders as well as the media with an opportunity to dive into the blue economy and connect with the boatbuilding industry.

Bruce Tedder, Chairman of the South African Boatbuilders Export Council, highlights, “The South African leisure boatbuilding industry contributes an estimated incredible R3.2 billion to the South African Economy every year, and the blue economy, a further R 2 billion.” He adds, “boatica Cape Town plays a pivotal role in promoting South Africa’s boatbuilding industry on the global stage, making it an integral partner to the industry. We anticipate an exceptional show this year.”

Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth and Development for the City of Cape Town, underscores, “Our sponsorship of boatica stems from our commitment to foster economic growth via high growth industries such as the ocean economy which is rich in a variety of job and investment opportunities. With boatica, we are showcasing Cape Town as a premier destination for maritime activities.”

boatica Cape Town 2024 is an unparalleled event showcasing South Africa’s incredible blue economy.
