Clearwater Mall’s Made in India Market Returns — 17 Days of Flavour, Fashion and Cultural Fire

Clear your calendar and bring your appetite. From 6 to 22 March, Clearwater Mall’s Upper Mall Parking Area will once again transform into a vibrant celebration of colour, culture and cuisine as the Made in India Market returns — this time for an extended 17-day run.

What began as a standout event in August 2025 is back, bigger and bolder. The inaugural market drew crowds from across the West Rand and beyond, captivating visitors with aromatic street food, striking fashion, handcrafted jewellery and an atmosphere that pulsed with energy from morning to night. This year, organisers are building on that momentum, promising an experience that doesn’t just invite attendance — it invites immersion.

A Market That Became a Movement

The first Made in India Market wasn’t merely a shopping excursion; it was an encounter. Fragrant spices drifted through the air. Racks of eye-catching garments shimmered in bold hues and intricate patterns. Accessories made statements before you even tried them on. Food stalls served dishes so compelling they warranted second and third visits.

And the crowds responded.

“The energy at last year’s market was something special. People weren’t just popping in — they were exploring, eating their way through the stalls and coming back with friends. That kind of buzz is exactly what we want to create again,” says Prianka Singh Rodgers, Marketing Manager of Clearwater Mall.

For Rodgers and her team, the market is about more than retail. It is about connection.

“We love what this market brings to Clearwater Mall. It celebrates culture, brings people together and gives our community an experience that feels alive. We’re proud to be bringing it back bigger and bolder,” she adds.

17 Days to Taste, Discover and Celebrate

From committed foodies hunting authentic flavours to fashion lovers searching for standout pieces, the Made in India Market offers something that pulls you in — and plenty of reasons to stay.

Every stall carries its own narrative. Every vendor contributes to a collective sensory story. Expect:

  • Aromatic street food that fills the air before it fills your plate

  • Bold, expressive fashion that turns heads

  • Handcrafted jewellery and accessories with personality

  • A buzzing atmosphere designed for lingering, sharing and returning

Whether it’s a quick after-work stop, a weekend wander with friends or a spontaneous midweek detour, the market’s extended schedule makes it easier than ever to participate.

Affordable, Accessible, Unmissable

Entry is a pocket-friendly R10 per person, making it one of Johannesburg’s most affordable and vibrant outings this March. The market runs daily from 10am to 8pm, Monday through Thursday — perfectly suited for relaxed evening visits — and continues across weekends to accommodate family days and social gatherings.

As summer shifts toward autumn, Clearwater Mall positions itself once again as a cultural meeting point — a place where flavour meets fashion, and where community energy takes centre stage.

Mark the dates. Rally your crew. Prepare your appetite.

For 17 days this March, the Upper Mall Parking Area won’t just be a venue — it will be a destination.
