Rock Anthems, Soulful Sundays, Gospel Power and Proudly Afrikaans Celebration

As March draws to a close and April steps in with Easter anticipation, Carnival City is shifting into full celebration mode. From thunderous rock tributes and soulful Sunday sessions to a two-night gospel gathering and a proudly homegrown Afrikaans showcase, the Brakpan entertainment destination is setting the stage for back-to-back headline experiences.

Here’s what’s coming up.


🎸 Monsters of Rock

Friday, 27 March 2026

Get ready for a high-voltage ride through decades of rock greatness.

UK-born, Ballito-based Steve Graham brings his powerhouse tribute show to Mardi Gras, taking audiences through the greatest rock anthems of the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. Expect the music of Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Toto and Journey — and many more.

Graham’s pedigree includes opening for icons such as Sting and The Police, Bryan Adams, Tina Turner, Michael McDonald, Alice Cooper, Electric Light Orchestra, U2, Dire Straits and Status Quo.

With a virtual band, striking visuals and soaring guitar solos, Monsters of Rock promises more than nostalgia — it delivers a full-throttle experience.

🎶 Love is the New Currency

From rock rebellion to soulful sophistication, Sunday brings a different rhythm.

Hosted at New Orleans within Carnival City Casino, Love is the New Currency delivers a smart-casual live music experience where soulful energy meets premium vibes.

The line-up features the acclaimed Sbu Dludlu, alongside DJ Lebo, Mr G, DJ Tshidiso, DJ T, Lady M and DJ Roka.

The theme is simple: let love, music and good vibes be your only currency.

🙏 Moja Easter Gospel Festival

Saturday, 4 April 2026 & Sunday, 5 April 2026

After a sold-out celebration that moved thousands, the Moja Easter Gospel Festival returns to the Big Top Arena — and it arrives with unmistakable spiritual weight.

Presented by Moja LOVE (DStv 157), the festival gathers some of South Africa’s most powerful gospel voices under one roof: Benjamin Dube, Rebecca Malope, Dumi Mkokstad, Sbu Noah, Ayanda Ntanzi, Mmatema, Xolly Mncwango, Nothando Hlophe, Ncebakazi Msomi and Teboho Moloi.

Expect two nights of praise, passion and purpose — an Easter gathering defined by unity, worship and powerful live performance.

🎤 Oos Wes, Tuis Bes

Following the overwhelming success of 2025, Oos Wes, Tuis Bes returns — bigger, bolder and brimming with pride.

Under the theme “Your Town · Your Language · Your Pride · Your Home,” the Big Top Arena transforms into a celebration of identity and storytelling through Afrikaans music.

The 2026 line-up features Herman Kleinhans, Tasché Burger, Nicholis Louw, Jan Blohm and Juan Boucher.

Juan Boucher, with more than 150 million streams, stands as one of the most popular artists in Afrikaans music. Herman Kleinhans, the 2015 Afri-Visie winner, is known for his exceptional songwriting and warm vocals. Tasché Burger became the first female winner of The Voice SA in 2019. Nicholis Louw blends pop, opera, rock and classical elements, while Jan Blohm — also an accomplished painter — continues to enjoy critical acclaim across multiple albums.

This is more than a concert. It is a tribute to home.
