Dream Raffle 2025: A Ticket of Hope for 200 Brave Children Fighting Life-Threatening Illnesses

For most children, dreams are simple joys — owning a favourite football kit, meeting a hero, or experiencing something magical for the very first time. But for thousands of children battling life-threatening illnesses in South Africa, these dreams become lifelines: moments of courage, joy, and escape from the weight of treatment.
For 37 years, Reach For A Dream has been turning those moments into reality — fulfilling six dreams every single day.

Now, as the Dream Raffle marks its milestone 30th year, the foundation is setting its sights on its most ambitious goal yet: bringing joy to 200 young dreamers fighting the toughest battles of their lives.

A Raffle That Changes Lives — One Dream, One Child at a Time

Unlike traditional competitions, the Dream Raffle is not just about winning prizes — it’s about giving hope. By purchasing a R200 ticket, South Africans become part of something far greater than a lucky draw. They become part of a child’s story.

Stories like 17-year-old Odwa Raba from Khayelitsha.

Fighting a relapse of T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, Odwa held tightly to one wish: to own the official kit of his beloved team, Real Madrid.

What happened next was beyond his imagination.

Odwa’s Day of Magic: A Dream Bigger Than Football

At the South African Football Association headquarters in Cape Town, Odwa’s dream unfolded like a movie scene.
For a teenager who had never set foot inside a stadium, stepping into that space was breathtaking. SAFA Cape Town’s president personally welcomed him, offering a behind-the-scenes tour and gifting him proudly with SAFA merchandise.

Then came the moment he never expected: Odwa was chosen as the match mascot.

He walked the pitch amid cheers and applause, laughing with players who treated him like family. The MC introduced him to the crowd, turning the spotlight onto a humble teen who has endured more than most adults.

Back in the stands, wrapped boxes were placed in his hands. Inside:
A brand-new Real Madrid jersey.
His name printed on the back.
The dream he had been holding onto throughout his fight — finally real.

His excitement filled the stadium. The crowd celebrated. The moment became unforgettable.

This is what the Dream Raffle stands for.

“We Bring Dreams to Life Every Day” — Reach For A Dream

“We’re thrilled to partner with Jetour and offer one lucky winner the chance to drive away in a brand-new car,” says Julia Sotirianakos, CEO of Reach For A Dream.
“At Reach For A Dream, we fulfil the dreams of six children every day. By purchasing a R200 raffle ticket, the public can help us bring even more dreams like Odwa’s to life and make a meaningful difference.”

And this year’s prizes are something special.

Prizes That Inspire — Hope That Multiplies

🎁 Grand Prize:
A sleek, stylish brand-new Jetour SUV — the ultimate festive-season win.

🎁 Second Prize:
A luxurious two-night stay at three authentic retreat properties across South Africa — the perfect escape to recharge and reconnect with nature.

🎁 Third Prize:
R4 500 in curated shopping vouchers, featuring beloved South African brands:
• Food Lover’s Market
• Col’Cacchio
• Woodlands Spa
• Olives & Plates

Only 3 000 tickets remain, making the odds incredibly attractive — but the impact even more profound.

Where to Enter — and When the Draw Takes Place

Tickets are available at www.dreamraffle.co.za for R200 each.
The final draw takes place on 15 December 2025, or two weeks after the last ticket is sold — whichever comes first.

Every cent raised goes directly toward fulfilling dreams for children fighting life-threatening illnesses.
Every ticket is a chance to change a life.

Because when a child dares to dream, hope becomes unstoppable.
