Cape Town, August 2025 – Imagine sipping on world-class wines inspired by the Mother City’s most iconic landmarks, each thoughtfully paired with gourmet canapés. That’s exactly what awaits at the Durbanville Hills Collectors Reserve Celebration, taking place on 27 and 28 August 2025.

This immersive tasting journey features seven award-winning cool-climate wines, each crafted by cellarmaster Pieter-Niel Rossouw and his talented winemaking team. The range – aptly named the Collectors Reserve – pays homage to seven landmarks that shape Cape Town’s heritage and skyline.

Seven Wines, Seven Landmarks, Seven Canapés

Guests will move through interactive tasting stations, where winemakers share the stories behind each varietal and the landmark that inspired it. Each wine is perfectly paired with a canapé designed to elevate its unique flavour profile.

White Wine Pairings:

  • Cape Mist Sauvignon Blanc – Paired with creamy seafood, pea & coconut risotto

  • Cape Garden Chenin Blanc – Served with smoked snoek

  • Cableway Chardonnay – Matched with a curried chicken canapé

Red Wine Pairings:

  • Lighthouse Merlot – With a pea & smoked ham croquette

  • Promenade Pinotage – Paired with charred miso aubergine

  • High Noon Shiraz – Served with crispy Korean tofu & cauliflower kebab

  • Castle of Good Hope Cabernet Sauvignon – With a slow-cooked beef brisket meatball

A Dinner to Remember

After the tastings, the evening continues at the award-winning Tangram Restaurant, where chef Tamzyn Ehlers and her team will present a refined two-course dinner, rounding off the experience in true gourmet style.
