For millions of South Africans, coffee isn’t just a drink – it’s a ritual, a daily anchor, and often the first step to powering through the day. But as more people embrace health-conscious lifestyles, coffee is taking on a new role – not just as a caffeine fix, but as a wellness ally.

Recognising this shift, Nespresso has launched its brand-new Functional Coffee Range – five expertly crafted blends infused with purposeful ingredients like Ginseng, Vitamin B, and extra caffeine to support energy, focus, and balance, without sacrificing taste or convenience.

Coffee with Purpose

The move comes as part of a growing global trend toward intentional living. According to market research, South Africa’s health and wellness sector was valued at US$26.64 billion (R466 billion) in 2024 and is projected to reach US$42 billion (R738.9 billion) by 2033. For coffee lovers, this means more opportunities to align daily habits with long-term wellness goals.

“Coffee is more than caffeine – it’s a moment of pause, a motivator, and a ritual that shapes our day,” says Gabriel Nobre, CEO of Nespresso South Africa. “Our new range is for those who want more from their coffee without changing the way they enjoy it.”

Three Pathways to Wellness in a Cup

  1. Stormio Go & Melozio Go

    • Extra caffeine and a bold, roasted profile for mornings that demand full focus or afternoons that need a productivity boost.

  2. Vivida B12 & Active B6

    • Smooth, uplifting blends enriched with B vitamins to support busy schedules and help keep you feeling energised.

  3. Ginseng Delight

    • Comforting and aromatic, with ginseng for gentle revitalisation – perfect for slower starts or unwinding in the evening.

These blends require no powders, no mixing – just pop in a capsule and enjoy a quality coffee experience that’s both indulgent and intentional.

Sustainably Sourced, Expertly Roasted

Like all Nespresso offerings, the Functional Coffee Range is made from responsibly sourced beans, precision-roasted for exceptional flavour. The difference? These coffees are thoughtfully enhanced to fit into the natural rhythm of your day – whether that’s before a yoga class, during a meeting marathon, or while enjoying a quiet moment alone.

Available from 25 August 2025

The range is available in Nespresso boutiques nationwide and online at www.nespresso.com/za. Each capsule is designed for Nespresso Vertuo machines, making it easy to elevate your coffee ritual without changing your routine.

Discover the joy of coffee with intention – because feeling good should be as effortless as your morning brew.
