British singer, songwriter and musician James Blunt will perform at the GrandWest Grand Arena on Thursday, 12 September.

The show will see Blunt perform songs from his latest album, Who We Used To Be.

The pop singer achieved worldwide fame in 2004 with his first hits You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover. Since then he has released seven more albums and sold over 20 million records worldwide.

Blunt has been the recipient of multiple awards over the years, including two Brit Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards and five Grammy Award nominations. In 2015 he received a doctorate in music from the University of Bristol.

The show will also be performed at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria on 14 September.

NOTE: The show promoter has requested concertgoers not to purchase tickets from Viagogo. Anyone with a Viagogo ticket will be denied entry into the venue and will not be entitled to a refund as Viagogo tickets are not legitimate.

Madcap English comedian Michael McIntyre will have Capetonians laughing in their seats with his Magnificent World Tour on Friday, 13 September at the GrandWest Grand Arena.

As one of the highest-grossing stand-up comedians in the world, McIntyre needs little introduction. Over the course of his career he has regularly appeared on international television shows, performed on stage and toured the world and smashed box-office records around the world.

He still performs for Comic Relief, has published three books and has is the recipient of numerous awards and nominations.

The 45th anniversary of English rock band Smokie will include a performance in Cape Town on Wednesday, 18 September at the GrandWest Grand Arena.

Concertgoers can expect to hear its such as Mexican Girl, Want Can I do, Needles and Pins, Don’t Play your Rock n Roll to me, Lay Back in the Arms of Someone and, of course, Living Next Door to Alice which has sold 10 million copies to date.

In a message for South Africans, the band asked that braais be lit and red wine red be kept ready for them. They will perform a medley of their many hits and hopefully tell fans who Alice is.

The group consists of lead singer and guitarist Pete Lincoln, bass guitarist Luke Bullard and lead guitarist Martin Bullard who both supply backing vocals, and drummer and percussionist Steve Pinnell.

Californian songstress, TV personality and actress Keyshia Cole will perform in Cape Town at the GrandWest Grand Arena on Thursday, 26 September.

Cole, who began her career as a backing vocalist for MC Hammer, is known for her lyrics about empowerment, reflection, heartache and love. Fans can look forward to Cole’s heartfelt vocals on smash hits such as I Remember, Let It Go, I Should Have Cheated and Heaven Sent.

American R&B band will perform at the GrandWest Grand Arena on Saturday, 28 September.

The band formed in New York in 1976, embracing smooth soul, disco, R&B genres. But it was not until the mid-80s that they exploded onto the pop and R&B charts in the 80s with their smash hit Secret Lovers, followed by hits such as Always, My First Love, Circles and Masterpiece.

Fans can also expect to see the group perform other hits such as LoveCrazy, You and Everyone Love Summer and more.
