Luxaura Salon Creates a Mother’s Day Experience Rooted in Beauty, Memory and Meaning

In a world that rarely slows down, this Mother’s Day, Luxaura Boutique Salon is offering something far more meaningful than a traditional pamper session.

It is offering a pause.

A moment to honour mothers, grandmothers, and the women whose love, sacrifice and quiet rituals helped shape generations.

On 10 May 2026, the boutique salon at Waterfall will host an intimate in-salon experience titled “The Women Who Raised Us” — a carefully curated celebration blending luxury self-care with emotional connection, memory and legacy.

More than beauty — a celebration of legacy

For co-owners Thabisa Moloele and Mercy Kambarami, the experience was never meant to be just another Mother’s Day promotion.

“We wanted to create more than just a Mother’s Day offering — we wanted to create a moment,” they explain. “A space where women can honour the ones who raised them, while also celebrating themselves. For us, beauty has always been about connection, memory, and legacy.”

That philosophy sits at the heart of the entire experience.

Rather than focusing purely on aesthetics, the event invites guests to reconnect with the emotional side of self-care — the rituals passed down between mothers and daughters, the quiet lessons shared across generations, and the deeply personal moments that live inside beauty traditions.

An intimate luxury experience designed with intention

Known for its refined aesthetic and intentional approach to wellness and beauty, Luxaura Boutique Salon will transform its salon space into a sanctuary of softness, care and elevated luxury for the occasion.

Guests can expect a curated selection of restorative Mother’s Day treatments, including:

  • Natural wash, blow dry and styling
  • Deep conditioning treatments
  • Basic hair treatments
  • Gel polish services

Each offering has been designed to feel indulgent yet deeply personal — ideal for mothers and daughters sharing time together, or for anyone wanting to honour a maternal figure in their life through thoughtful self-care.

Flowers, femininity and thoughtful gifting

Adding another emotional layer to the experience, floral bouquets will form part of the occasion, creating a beautifully elevated gifting moment for every guest.

To ensure each bouquet is prepared with care and intention, advance bookings are essential. Guests are encouraged to secure their preferred time slots early.

Reservations can be made online via Luxaura Boutique Salon Bookings or by telephone on (010) 023-4291.

A reminder that self-care is emotional too

At its core, “The Women Who Raised Us” is a reflection on how beauty and memory are often intertwined.

The scent of hair products used by a mother before church.
The ritual of sitting between a grandmother’s knees while she braided hair.
The small acts of care passed down quietly, lovingly, across years.

These are the moments Luxaura seeks to honour — not loudly, but intentionally.

In doing so, the salon reframes self-care as something deeper than indulgence. It becomes remembrance. Connection. Gratitude.

A Mother’s Day invitation to slow down

This Mother’s Day, Luxaura Boutique Salon is extending an invitation not simply to book a treatment, but to experience something meaningful.

To pause.
To reconnect.
To celebrate the women who raised us — beautifully, intentionally, and together.
