Luxurious Spa Experience at The Capital Hotel, 15 on Orange

Take a walk with me through the most luxurious spa you can imagine, then make your next booking because you’ll be thrilled to find that even if you need a quick break from the world for just an hour, the use of the facilities is possible and is much cheaper than you would think! So, welcome to the Mangwanani Signature Spa at the iconic Capital Hotel: 15 on Orange.

Staying at the Capital Hotel is a treat on its own, oozing style and design, the hotel is the modern embodiment of ‘old money’ with implied opulence through its high-quality offering, impeccably designed rooms and common spaces, as well as its world-class food offering, but one thing about the hotel that any guest would not want to miss out on is the Signature Spa experience that starts when you take the dedicated lift down to start your wellness journey.

As the doors open to the reception area, you’re greeted and introduced to someone who will take you around the facility and show you to your treatment room. At other spas this might not be necessary, but as this spa takes up an expansive space, it’s a welcomed addition.

After changing into bath robes and slippers, the 5-star experience begins. You’re taken through a pair of doors leading to the bar and lounge area, next to the pedicure and manicure station. Impeccably designed with dark tones, helping you switch off from the bright always-on life outside, the spa has a regal feel with tropical elements, uses soft yet luscious fabric and significantly raises the bar from any experience you might have had in the past, starting with a wide selection of drinks on offer.

Through another set of doors, you’re taken past the relaxation pods, draped in curtains to give you absolute privacy as you unwind and look up at the lighting installation, which resembles glistening stars in the night sky. Past that is another seating area, the treatment rooms, a steamroll, sauna, a cold plunge pool AND – yes, I’m not done – a heated indoor pool with lounge chairs because you deserve it all!

You start your time there by being offered a drink, some tea, perhaps some bubbles – it’s all up to you as you sink into the warm pool water and destress ahead of your appointment. Then, when you’re ready – no rush – you can let your therapist know you’d like to start your treatment. You’ll be escorted into the treatment room, offered a bed, and then given the privacy to disrobe ahead of your massage.

If you’d like to just come in and use the facilities, that is also an option you could choose. Still, giving yourself over to a Signature half-day or Full day relaxation would be the best investment you’d make in yourself this year. If therapy is for the mind, Mangwanani at 15 on Orange is for the body and soul.
Walking out of the spa feels like leaving baggage behind, stepping out lighter. If you’re not tempted to end the day by booking a room, or at least with an incredible meal at the restaurant at the hotel, then you and I need to have a conversation, because the spa and the hotel are such a perfect pair, one complementing the other so well.
