MSC Cruises Elevates Luxury at Sea with Refined Yacht Club Restaurant Upgrades

In the world of luxury travel, evolution is not optional — it is essential. And at sea, where experience is everything, the difference between memorable and unforgettable often lies in the details you can feel but not always see.

Now, MSC Cruises is making a decisive statement about the future of premium cruising. With a bold investment in design, service and sensory experience, the cruise line has begun rolling out a refined upgrade to its iconic MSC Yacht Club Restaurant across its Fantasia Class ships — redefining what it means to dine in exclusivity, thousands of miles from shore.

A New Chapter for the Yacht Club Experience

For seasoned cruisers, the MSC Yacht Club has long represented something distinct — a “ship-within-a-ship” concept where privacy, personalised service and elevated comfort converge into a world apart from the rest of the vessel.

Now, that world is being reimagined.

At the centre of this transformation is the restaurant — not just a place to dine, but the heart of the Yacht Club experience. The newly redesigned MSC Yacht Club Restaurant introduces a contemporary, elegant aesthetic that signals a shift toward a more immersive, sensory-driven environment.

Already unveiled aboard MSC Splendida, the upgraded space marks the beginning of a phased transformation across the entire Fantasia Class fleet.

Design That Speaks in Silence

Step into the new restaurant, and the difference is immediate — though never overwhelming.

This is not luxury that shouts. It is luxury that whispers.

Darker tones anchor the space, creating depth and intimacy. Soft textures invite touch, while carefully considered lighting casts a warm, ambient glow that transforms every meal into an occasion. Vertical design elements introduce subtle structure, carving out privacy without closing off the room — a delicate balance between openness and exclusivity.

And then, beyond it all, the ocean remains.

Panoramic sea views continue to define the experience, grounding the modern design in the timeless rhythm of the journey itself.

Where Dining Becomes Experience

But design is only one layer.

What truly elevates the MSC Yacht Club Restaurant is what happens beyond the table setting.

Here, dining is not rushed. It is curated.

Guests are invited to explore sophisticated menus, supported by a dedicated 24/7 culinary team and an on-hand sommelier — a combination that ensures every plate, every pairing, every moment is considered. It is a service philosophy that aligns seamlessly with the Yacht Club’s identity: personalised, attentive and quietly exceptional.

This is not dining as routine.

It is dining as theatre — where flavour, atmosphere and service move in harmony.

A Fleet-Wide Transformation in Motion

While MSC Splendida leads the way following her refurbishment at the Palumbo Malta Shipyard, this transformation is far from a single-ship story.

It is a fleet-wide vision.

The rollout will continue across the Fantasia Class ships in a carefully phased timeline:

  • MSC Fantasia — completion by December 2026
  • MSC Divina — completion by April 2027
  • MSC Preziosa — completion by February 2028

Each upgrade forms part of a broader refurbishment programme — a significant investment by MSC Cruises to continuously modernise its fleet and elevate the guest experience across every touchpoint.

The “Ship Within a Ship” — Redefined

Beyond the restaurant, the MSC Yacht Club remains one of the cruise industry’s most distinctive offerings.

Accessible only via keycard, this private enclave offers guests an environment defined by discretion and exclusivity. From 24-hour butler and concierge services to spacious, elegantly appointed suites, every detail is designed to remove friction and enhance comfort.

Guests can move seamlessly between private spaces — a dedicated lounge, a secluded sundeck with whirlpools, a grill restaurant and bar — all integrated into a cohesive, self-contained luxury experience.

It is not just a section of the ship.

It is a different way of travelling.

Journeys That Match the Experience

With the upgraded Yacht Club Restaurant now available, itineraries aboard MSC Splendida offer more than destinations — they offer a fully realised journey.

From Mediterranean escapes to South American adventures, the ship’s upcoming sailings include:

  • Winter 2025/2026: Seven-night Mediterranean voyages from Barcelona, exploring Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Palermo and Tunis
  • Summer 2026: Continued Mediterranean routes, including Livorno, Cagliari and Valletta
  • Winter 2026/2027: Eight- to nine-night sailings from Buenos Aires, visiting Rio de Janeiro, Ilhabela and Punta del Este
  • Summer 2027: Nine-night journeys from Trieste to destinations across Greece, Turkey and Croatia

Each itinerary becomes more than a route — it becomes a stage for the evolving Yacht Club experience.

Beyond Dining: Enhancing the Journey Itself

The transformation extends beyond restaurants and suites.

MSC Cruises has also reimagined its onboard Future Cruise offices — spaces where guests can plan their next voyage while still immersed in their current one.

Already available on MSC Divina, MSC Preziosa and MSC Splendida, these redesigned offices feature expanded layouts, contemporary furnishings and panoramic sea views — turning what was once a transactional moment into part of the experience itself.

The Future of Luxury at Sea

In an industry where expectations are constantly rising, standing still is not an option.

With these upgrades, MSC Cruises is not simply refining its offering — it is redefining the standard.

Because luxury today is no longer just about space or service.

It is about how a place makes you feel.
How seamlessly everything connects.
How every detail, from lighting to layout to service, works together to create something greater than the sum of its parts.

And as the MSC Yacht Club Restaurant transformation continues across the fleet, one thing becomes clear:

At sea, the future of luxury has already begun.
