For many young South Africans, meeting a sporting hero is a dream that feels out of reach. This winter, Nestlé MILO® is bringing those dreams a little closer by offering families the opportunity to share a meal with some of the country’s most celebrated athletes.

Through its Meet Up with a Champ campaign, Nestlé MILO® is giving consumers the chance to enjoy an exclusive lunch with South African sporting icons while celebrating the values of determination, resilience and active living that have long been at the heart of the brand.

Running until 31 August 2026, the campaign transforms an everyday purchase into an opportunity to create unforgettable memories and inspire the next generation of future champions.

More Than a Competition Prize

The Meet Up with a Champ campaign goes beyond offering winners a simple meet-and-greet.

Consumers who purchase any pack of Nestlé MILO® and WhatsApp their till slip to 073 061 2613 stand a chance to win an exclusive Future Champs Experience, where they and their guests can enjoy lunch with some of South Africa’s biggest sporting stars.

The campaign aims to create meaningful conversations, allowing winners to hear first-hand about the dedication, perseverance and hard work required to succeed at the highest levels of sport.

Makazole Mapimpi Helps Kick Off the Campaign

The campaign has already created memorable experiences for its first group of winners.

Earlier this month, winners and their guests shared lunch with Springbok rugby star Makazole Mapimpi, enjoying an intimate setting where stories, laughter and life lessons took centre stage.

Rather than simply meeting a famous athlete, guests had the opportunity to connect with one of South Africa’s most admired rugby players while learning about the commitment and resilience that have shaped his sporting journey.

More Sporting Legends Still to Come

The excitement is far from over.

Upcoming Meet Up with a Champ experiences will feature:

  • Football legend Simphiwe Tshabalala
  • Proteas women’s cricketer Chloe Tryon

Each event is designed to give winners a unique opportunity to engage with their sporting heroes in a relaxed environment while drawing inspiration from their personal journeys.

Whether it’s hearing about the determination behind representing South Africa on the rugby field, football pitch or cricket ground, the experiences are intended to leave lasting memories that extend well beyond sport.

A Partnership That Brings Families Together

The campaign is being hosted in partnership with Wimpy, another iconic South African brand with a long history of bringing families together around the table.

The collaboration creates a welcoming environment where meaningful conversations can take place between sporting heroes, winners and their guests.

According to Mathapelo Mofokeng, Senior Brand Manager for MILO at Nestlé East and Southern Africa Region (ESAR), the initiative reflects the brand’s commitment to inspiring young people.

“At Nestlé MILO®, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to be inspired by those who have achieved greatness through dedication and perseverance,” says Mofokeng.

“Through our partnership with Wimpy, we’ve been able to create a warm and welcoming environment where winners and their guests can connect with their sporting heroes, hear their stories and gain valuable lessons that extend far beyond the world of sport.”

Championing Future Champions

The campaign forms part of Nestlé MILO®’s ongoing commitment to encouraging active lifestyles among young South Africans.

By celebrating sport and the positive values it promotes—including confidence, discipline, resilience and teamwork—the brand hopes to inspire children to pursue their own ambitions, both on and off the playing field.

Every shared story, conversation and piece of advice becomes an opportunity to motivate the next generation to dream bigger and work harder toward their goals.

How to Enter

Parents and caregivers still have time to enter the competition before it closes on 31 August 2026.

To enter:

  1. Purchase any pack of Nestlé MILO®.
  2. WhatsApp your till slip to 073 061 2613.
  3. Stand a chance to win one of the remaining Future Champs Experiences.

Terms and conditions apply.

With sporting legends, family moments and inspiring conversations all on the menu, the Nestlé MILO® Meet Up with a Champ campaign is giving South Africans the opportunity to create memories that will last long after the meal is over.
