Fitness, sisterhood and self-care are coming together in one exciting experience. Motherkind is bringing PowerHER Fit Fest to South Africa, with international fitness star Kayla Itsines making her first visit to the country as part of a festival designed to celebrate women and their wellbeing.
Presented in collaboration with Investec and Dis-Chem, the event takes place in Johannesburg on 7 November 2026 and Cape Town on 14 November 2026. The full-day programme combines workouts, wellness experiences, conversations, food, lifestyle activations and a live music after-party.
Created as a premium wellness experience for women, PowerHER Fit Fest invites attendees to take time for themselves, connect with friends and discover new ways to move, recharge and invest in their wellbeing.
The Johannesburg event will take place at The Chosen Convention & Expo Centre, while the Cape Town edition heads to Allée Bleue Wine Estate in the Cape Winelands.
Kayla Itsines brings her workout to South Africa
One of the festival’s biggest highlights arrives at 4:15pm, when the focus shifts to the Wellness Arena for the headline workout with Kayla Itsines.
An internationally recognised fitness personality and co-founder of the Sweat fitness platform, Itsines has helped millions of women build strength through accessible training programmes.
Her South African debut gives attendees the opportunity to experience one of her workouts live. She will be joined by local fitness personalities, including Gold’s Gym representatives in Johannesburg, Sweat1000 trainers in Cape Town and Monique Lopes.
For fitness enthusiasts, the session promises an opportunity to experience the energy of a major fitness personality while moving alongside fellow attendees.
Conversations that go beyond fitness
PowerHER Fit Fest is about more than breaking a sweat. Starting at 11am, guests can explore a programme that brings together fitness, personal growth, wellness and conversations about the realities of women’s lives.
The festival’s Pulse Talks will feature short, interactive discussions with Motherkind founder Rechelle Kloeck, fitness entrepreneur Uleen Fourie, content creator Taryn Louch, NGO owner Savannah Cozzi, and Investec’s Elizabeth Fick and Tracey Ward.
One of the featured discussions is Investec’s Health of Your Wealth, which explores the relationship between health, financial wellbeing and the choices that shape the lives women want to lead.
The programme also features Nandi Madida in Johannesburg and former Miss South Africa Vanessa Carreira in Cape Town, alongside media personality Tarryn Kay in their respective cities. Zuraida Jardine will lead guided breathwork sessions.
Together, these experiences bring wellness into a broader conversation about how women live, work, connect and care for themselves.
A wellness village made for discovery
Away from the talks and workouts, the PowerPARTNER Village will offer a curated selection of wellness, beauty and lifestyle brands.
Guests can explore interactive experiences and sample products, making the festival an opportunity to discover offerings from participating brands.
Food and refreshments will also play a part in the experience. Food trucks will serve an array of options, while Motherkind will offer smoothies, collagen-infused drinks and four new flavours of Kind Energy.
From movement and mindful moments to food and beauty, the festival has been designed to give women different ways to enjoy the day at their own pace.
Lady Zamar leads the after-party
When the wellness sessions wind down, the celebration continues with the PowerHER After Party, headlined by South African favourite Lady Zamar.
Lady Zamar and Kayzia will perform in both cities, with additional artists completing each city’s line-up.
In Johannesburg, the performers will include Ayanda MVP, Lady Lea and Indigo. The Cape Town edition will feature Amy Jones, Roxy Louw and Mia. G&G – The Goosebumps Company will be at the helm of the entertainment experience.
The combination of fitness, conversation and live performances gives PowerHER Fit Fest a full-day format that moves from personal wellbeing to music and celebration.
A festival built around women
For Motherkind founder Rechelle Kloeck, the purpose behind PowerHER Fit Fest is rooted in the importance of women making space for themselves.
“Across South Africa, women are showing up for everyone: at work, at home and in their communities. But more intentionally, they are also choosing to show up for themselves,” says Kloeck.
She explains that the festival was created for women who want to feel included and valued, bringing fitness, wellness, conversation and talent together in one carefully considered experience.
With a limited allocation of 3,500 tickets per city, the event offers a chance to experience an international fitness personality alongside South African talent, wellness brands and lifestyle experiences.
