Pretoria will be the setting for an exciting new music, food and art event, The Soirée by Stella Artois, which will take place on October 9th at the epicenter of the city’s new lifestyle revolution, the African Beer Emporium.

Destined to become a much-anticipated, early summer calendar event, eventgoers can expect an eclectic, all-star music line-up with a distinctive Afro-soul leaning, including celebrated SAMA award-winning singer, Msaki, much-loved acapella group The Soil, electronic-soul artist Nutty Nys, Afro pop band, The Muffins, and well-known DJs Kenzhero and Bubbles.

The African Beer Emporium, is also an exceptional setting for the other lifestyle elements of The Soirée, including a live art installation with multi-disciplinary artist Boemo Diale – where limited prints as well as limited edition Stella merchandise will be available to purchase – and an artisanal food experience.

Artist Boemo Diale grew up reflecting on different social issues in Rustenburg, Mafikeng, and the suburbs of Johannesburg. Her works reflect the nuances of gender, race, culture, identity, mental health, and spirituality. The works themselves are often playful, cathartic, child-like reflections of the inner workings of her internal world as she grapples with the challenges the world throws at her as a young woman.

Food lovers, meanwhile, will not be disappointed with the number of hand-crafted culinary offerings which include Frites Artois (Belgian-style fries), Bao buns (Asian dumplings), shisanyama, fresh oysters, seafood paella, shawarmas, ribs, chicken wings, gelato, and organic coffee.
