Against the breathtaking coastal backdrop of Gibsons, Detective Karl Alberg finds himself confronting a fresh series of perplexing criminal investigations.
Working alongside his gifted protégé Edwina Yen, experienced officer Sid Sokolowski and ambitious rookie Andy Kendrick, Alberg must solve increasingly complex cases where appearances can be deceiving and trusted faces may conceal dangerous secrets.
As every investigation unfolds, the line separating friend from suspect becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish, keeping viewers guessing until the very end.
The Personal Story Behind the Badge
While Detective Alberg continues pursuing justice, his personal life proves to be just as challenging as the cases crossing his desk.
Recently divorced and adapting to life in a new town, Alberg begins developing feelings for Cassandra Lee, a librarian whose deep roots within the community add unexpected complications to both his role as Chief of Police and his relationship with his teenage daughter, who has followed him across the country.
Despite the emotional challenges they face, Alberg and Cassandra’s unconventional mid-life romance forms the emotional centre of the series, balancing suspense with warmth and humanity.
