The Whisky Experience Comes to Rosebank

More than 30 whisky brands. Rare expressions. Craft producers. One intimate evening in the heart of Rosebank.

For three hours this September, whisky lovers will have the chance to step beyond the familiar and into a world of discovery.

On Friday, 18 September 2026, The Firs in Rosebank will host The Whisky Experience, bringing together more than 30 whisky brands for an evening dedicated to exceptional pours, new discoveries and the stories behind the bottles.

Presented by The Firs in collaboration with Whisky Brother & Co, the experience will run from 6pm to 9pm, transforming the centre into an intimate tasting destination for both seasoned whisky enthusiasts and curious newcomers.

And the invitation is simple: come with an open mind, a curious palate and three hours to discover something new.

More than a tasting

The Whisky Experience is designed to be more than a series of pours.

Guests will be able to move between curated tasting stations throughout The Firs, exploring a diverse selection of whiskies.

The line-up will span premium and rare expressions, alongside whiskies produced by independent craft distillers.

Representatives from the brands will also be available to share the stories behind the different expressions.

That means guests can explore not only what is in the glass, but also the craftsmanship and characteristics that make each whisky different.

For experienced whisky drinkers, it offers an opportunity to discover something unexpected.

For those still finding their way around the world of whisky, it offers a chance to learn in a relaxed setting.

A whisky journey through Rosebank

The collaboration with Whisky Brother & Co brings another layer of expertise to the evening.

What began as a passion-driven whisky blog in 2012 has grown into an internationally recognised specialist retailer, event organiser and whisky community.

Its journey has also earned major industry recognition.

Whisky Brother & Co has been named Best Single Outlet Whisky Retailer in the World and subsequently Best Multiple Outlet Whisky Retailer in the World at the Icons of Whisky Awards.

That background makes its involvement in The Whisky Experience particularly significant for guests looking to explore the world of whisky beyond the usual names.

Then there is the VIP Lounge

For invited guests, the experience continues inside an exclusive VIP Lounge in The Atrium, adjacent to The Grillhouse.

Here, the atmosphere becomes even more intimate.

A specially curated collection of exceptional whisky expressions will be available to taste, accompanied by light meals and hospitality.

It creates a more private setting within the larger Whisky Experience, offering invited guests another opportunity to explore and appreciate distinctive expressions.

Bringing Rosebank together over whisky

For Annah Sekome, Centre Marketing Manager at The Firs, the event reflects what the Rosebank destination aims to create.

“The Firs has always been about creating distinctive experiences that complement the energy and sophistication of Rosebank.”

Sekome says the evening provides an opportunity to bring people together around discovery, craftsmanship and a shared appreciation for whisky, while introducing guests to exceptional brands and expressions.

It is a fitting combination for an area known for its energy and sophistication.

And for one evening, whisky becomes the common thread.

More than 30 brands. Countless discoveries.

The beauty of an event like The Whisky Experience is that the most memorable pour may not necessarily be the one you expected.

It could be a rare expression.

It could be a whisky from an independent craft producer.

It could be a bottle whose story captures your attention before the first sip.

Or it could simply be the moment you discover a new favourite.

With more than 30 whisky brands coming together, the evening offers plenty of opportunity for exactly that kind of discovery.

The Whisky Experience is not asking guests to arrive as experts.

It is inviting them to explore.
