Two stages, South African music legends and a celebration of the sounds that shaped generations. Oskido’s BIG DAY OUT has unveiled its full lineup for its third edition, with Kaya959 joining the festival family as an official media partner.

The festival returns to Huddle Park in Linksfield, Johannesburg, on Saturday, 28 November 2026. Running from 12:00 to 22:00, the event will bring together influential names in South African house, kwaito and dance music.

Curated by legendary DJ, producer and cultural pioneer Oskido, BIG DAY OUT celebrates the country’s musical heritage while creating new memories for music lovers.

This year, the experience expands with a new stage dedicated to deep and soulful house. The announcement also marks a significant moment for Oskido, who received the Order of Ikhamanga from the Presidency in 2026 for his outstanding contribution to local music and culture.

The Main Stage brings the legends together

The Main Stage lineup features a powerful mix of established performers and dance-floor favourites.

B.O.P, Mdu, Liquideep, Trompies and Oskido will lead a roster that also includes DJ Cleo, Glen Lewis, DJ Fresh, DJ Mbuso, DJ Ganyani, Nokwazi, Durban’s Finest, DJ Cndo and DJs at Work.

Together, these artists represent the sounds that have helped shape South Africa’s music landscape. From the kwaito rhythms that defined an era to the soulful house anthems that continue to fill dance floors, the lineup celebrates music that remains part of the country’s collective soundtrack.

For fans who grew up with these sounds, the festival offers an opportunity to reconnect with the artists and music that have influenced generations.

Introducing the Namba Stage

BIG DAY OUT is adding another dimension to its musical offering with the launch of the Namba Stage.

Dedicated to deep and soulful house, the new stage will feature Sir LSG and DJ SoulDiva, Dark Horse, D’General, Mr Shane, Chymamusique, Sculptured Music and Bobsta B2B Sabz.

The stage is designed to complement the Main Stage, giving dedicated house music fans more space to explore the sounds and grooves that have shaped South Africa’s house music culture.

With two stages offering distinct musical experiences, the festival brings together different sides of the country’s dance music scene in one place.

Kaya959 joins the BIG DAY OUT family

Another major announcement is the formal partnership between BIG DAY OUT and Kaya959.

The collaboration brings together the festival’s celebration of South African music heritage and the reach of one of the country’s leading radio stations.

Through the partnership, the event aims to connect with a wider audience and bring more fans closer to the music, artists and culture that have shaped generations.

Kaya959 Marketing representative Tumi Rabanye said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to creativity, culture and positive impact.

“For Kaya959, Oskido’s Big Day out and our partnership represent more than entertainment but rather the value of creativity, culture-framing and time. Oskido, personifies these attributes and has multiplied it through the other artists he’s touched. We believe great positive impact and fun needn’t be mutually exclusive and as a culture brand ourselves, there’s no time like the present to show up”.

The partnership adds a new dimension to the 2026 festival as it prepares to bring its music and cultural offering to an even wider audience.

A landmark year for Oskido

This edition carries added significance for the festival’s founder and curator.

In 2026, Oskido received the Order of Ikhamanga, awarded by the Presidency for his outstanding contribution to local music and culture.

The honour recognises his lasting influence on South Africa’s music landscape and the generations of artists he continues to inspire.

His work as a DJ, producer and cultural pioneer has helped shape the musical traditions that BIG DAY OUT celebrates. The festival brings that legacy into the present by placing established names alongside a continued celebration of South African house and dance music.

The third edition therefore offers more than a day of performances. It celebrates the music, artists and cultural influence that continue to connect South Africans across generations.
