For many aspiring musicians, access to a professional recording studio can be the difference between a dream that stays on paper and a career that reaches audiences across the country.

Now, Rosefest 2026 is giving one talented South African artist or group the opportunity to take that next step by offering a prize designed to help transform potential into professionally recorded music.

The festival, founded by acclaimed singer-songwriter Shekhinah, has launched its Rosefest 2026 Talent Search, with one winner set to receive a year’s worth of professional studio time.

As Rosefest prepares for its biggest edition yet at Casalinga in Muldersdrift, the competition aims to discover and support emerging South African musical talent across every genre.

A Platform for Rising Talent

Whether you’re a solo performer or part of a group, the Rosefest Talent Search offers an opportunity to showcase your artistry and gain access to professional studio facilities that can help bring your music to life.

While artists may submit either an original song or a cover performance, original material is preferred.

The competition is open to musicians from all genres, reinforcing Rosefest’s commitment to celebrating South Africa’s diverse music landscape.

How to Enter

Aspiring artists must email their entry to marketing@jacarandafm.com.

Each submission must include:

  • One performance video of no longer than two minutes
  • One original song or cover performance
  • An artist biography of no more than 200 words
  • Contact details
  • Social media handles
  • A short motivation explaining why you deserve to win a year’s worth of professional studio time

Who Can Enter?

To qualify, entrants must:

  • Be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Enter as either a solo artist or a group.
  • Perform music in any genre.
  • Be available to participate should they be selected as the winner.

Important Competition Information

Entries close at 23:59 on 19 July 2026.

Incomplete entries will not be considered.

Entrants will retain ownership of their music, although Rosefest may use submitted content for promotional purposes.

While public voting may influence the selection of finalists, final verification and judging will remain the responsibility of Rosefest.

Any fraudulent votes will be removed, and all judges’ decisions are final.

The grand prize consists of one year’s worth of professional studio time.

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Your Chance to Take the Next Step

For emerging musicians, opportunities to access professional recording facilities are often limited.

The Rosefest 2026 Talent Search aims to help bridge that gap by providing one artist or group with valuable studio time to further develop their music.

With Rosefest returning for its biggest celebration yet, the competition offers more than just a prize—it presents an opportunity for South Africa’s next musical talent to be heard.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to share your music, this could be it.
