Few artists have mastered the art of reinvention quite like Shekhinah.

Over the years, the award-winning South African singer-songwriter has built a reputation for delivering chart-topping hits, captivating audiences with her distinctive voice and deeply personal storytelling. Now, she is preparing to open an exciting new chapter in her musical journey—one that embraces the pulse of the dancefloor while staying true to the emotional honesty that made audiences fall in love with her music in the first place.

On 5 June 2026, Shekhinah will release her debut EP, Love on Repeat Volume 1, a four-track project that sees the celebrated artist stepping confidently into fresh sonic territory inspired by house music and South Africa’s evolving three-step sound.

The release marks a significant moment in her career, showcasing not only her versatility as a vocalist and songwriter but also her willingness to explore new creative possibilities.

A New Sound, A Familiar Heart

While Love on Repeat Volume 1 introduces listeners to a different musical landscape, the project remains unmistakably Shekhinah at its core.

Built around themes of love, connection and emotional expression, the EP blends contemporary African dance influences with the heartfelt songwriting that has become synonymous with her artistry.

Known for creating music that feels both intimate and relatable, Shekhinah uses this project to bridge two worlds: deeply personal storytelling and the infectious energy of house-inspired rhythms.

The result is a body of work designed to move both the heart and the feet.

Leading the Journey with Powerful Collaborations

Among the standout tracks on the EP is the previously released single Say You Love Me, a collaboration with rising vocalist Brandon Dhludhlu.

The song offered fans an early glimpse into the project’s direction and laid the foundation for what promises to be one of Shekhinah’s most adventurous releases to date.

Building on that momentum is My Baby, the EP’s focus track featuring Brandon Dhludhlu alongside producer and artist Fatso 98.

The collaboration captures the vibrant energy that runs throughout the project while highlighting Shekhinah’s ability to effortlessly blend genres and creative influences.

The EP also features a collaboration with acclaimed South African singer-songwriter Simmy, bringing together two of the country’s most distinctive and celebrated voices.

Their partnership adds another layer of richness to a project already rooted in musical experimentation and artistic growth.

Powered by Some of South Africa’s Most Exciting Producers

Behind the scenes, Love on Repeat Volume 1 brings together an impressive collective of producers who have helped shape its unique sound.

Production duties were handled by Fatso 98, Master A Flat, 2KayMusiq and MotiveSoul, each contributing their own creative perspective to the project.

Together, they crafted a sonic landscape that embraces house music and three-step influences while preserving the soulful and expressive qualities that define Shekhinah’s music.

The result is a sound that feels contemporary, fresh and distinctly African.

Celebrating Artistic Evolution

For Shekhinah, the EP represents more than a collection of songs.

It is an exploration of the sounds, rhythms and creative influences currently inspiring her as an artist.

As South African music continues to shape global conversations around dance, house and electronic genres, Love on Repeat Volume 1 arrives as a reflection of that cultural momentum while offering listeners a deeply personal perspective.

The project demonstrates how artists can evolve without losing the essence of what makes them unique.

A New Era Begins

As anticipation builds ahead of its release, Love on Repeat Volume 1 positions Shekhinah at the intersection of innovation and authenticity.

By embracing house music and three-step influences while maintaining the emotional depth that has defined her career, she is once again proving why she remains one of South Africa’s most respected and influential musical voices.

When the EP arrives on 5 June 2026, listeners can expect more than just new music.

They can expect an artist confidently stepping into a new era—one where contemporary African dance music, soulful storytelling and creative exploration come together in perfect harmony.

Love on Repeat Volume 1 will be available on all major digital streaming platforms from 5 June 2026.
