Award-winning Chef Karen Dudley to lead a fermentation masterclass at Botany Café

The President Hotel will host a Gut-Healthy Goodness Workshop in celebration of Global Wellness Day, taking place on Saturday, 14 June 2025, at 12:30pm in the hotel’s Botany Café.

This hands-on wellness cooking experience will focus on gut-healthy goodness and the ancient art of fermentation. Award-winning chef and restaurateur Karen Dudley will guide participants through the fundamentals of kimchi fermentation and pickling techniques, enabling attendees to create their own homemade kimchi.

Karen Dudley’s expertise in fermentation makes this workshop a great opportunity for those interested in incorporating gut-healthy foods into their daily routine.

The workshop is R450pp and the experience includes:

  • Instruction and hands-on preparation on kimchi, pickling basics and seasonal salads
  • Sampling of Signature Love Sandwiches and Salads
  • A delicious harvest-style lunch
  • A bottle of kimchi to take home

The timing coincides perfectly with Global Wellness Day, an international day dedicated to promoting healthy living and well-being. Booking is essential due to limited capacity. Book now:  WhatsApp 071 368 9529 or email bookings@presidenthotel.co.za.
