Under Armour Iso-Chill tech feels cool to the touch

Under Armour has just unveiled its new 2022 Iso-Chill range in South Africa. The game changing technology was first introduced back in 2019 as a replacement for CoolSwitch, a crystal technology which sent a cooling sensation back to the body once the garment tissue was activated by sweat.

The new Iso-Chill range expels heat immediately from the body when touched, making it the perfect gear for running and training. Specially designed fibres lay flat against your skin to evenly disperse heat, so it literally feels cool to the touch. With added titanium dioxide to absorb UV Energy and quickly move that heat away from your body, the tech is proven to increase your max-out time and output even on those hot, high-pressure runs.

“Every season you feel like you need to take it up a notch which is a challenge considering that swimming is a very technical sport and requires a vigorous training regime. I wouldn’t be cool and calm if I knew I was skipping sessions or not giving 100%. It’s the constancy of your training and constant ability to strengthen your mental muscle that helps you stay on course. Having the right training gear is crucial and can have a major influence on your performance. The UA Iso-Chill gear keeps me cool when training, helping me boost my training performance”,  says the UA ambassador and Olympic champion swimmer Tatjana Schoenmaker.

Product DNA:

  • Iso-Chill fabric helps disperse body heat, making it feel cool to the touch
  • Laser perforations on back panel for ultimate breathability
  • 4-way stretch material moves better in every direction
  • Material wicks sweat & dries really fast
  • Anti-odour technology prevents the growth of odour-causing microbes
  • Fitted: Streamlined fit that’s not too tight or too loose

Garments will be available in both the run and train category in Under Armour Brand House stores nationwide as well as online with www.underarmour.co.za – available from the 28 July. Expected price range for South African shoppers will lie between R399 for an Iso-Chill Launch Run Hat to R1299 for an Men’s UA Iso-Chill Polo Shirt.
